  1. Hey all! A couple more updates on the TK since last time. I added in the 22mm square cutout on the kidney/buttplate as shown below After cutting: I also ended up adding more snap locations and adding the reinforcement piece of plastic on inside of cod piece and kidney plate. I need to get some split rivets..... My boots from KeepTrooping arrived! They look and fit great! Glad those arrived safely! And then I totally forgot to take pictures while I did the first half. But forearms got fitted and I have started glueing them. Going one at a time, but so far so good. Once forearms are completely glued, i'll clean them up, and add the outer cover strip. I am planning on doing the Shoulder Bells next since they should be fairly straightforward. Thanks for reading!!

  2. While I was in the UK, one of the highlights of the trip was meeting with *the* Rob of RS Props. We sat down and chatted for almost 90 minutes, from which they posted this 30-ish minute video on YouTube at the link below. I someone seriously joke that there a betting pool with the FISD staff on if I could leave his shop without ordering a set of kit. While I hadn't intended on doing so (as I have a nice TK already), I was so impressed by Rob and his commitment to quality that I'm now trying to get my name added to the queue. If you ever have a chance to go to Manchester or meet with Rob, I encourage you to do so. He and his crew are true craftsmen and also some of the nicest people you'd ever meet. Can't say enough good things about them. Many thanks to everyone at RS for creating a truly memorable experience and sharing your passion and expertise for Star Wars costuming. You guys rock!

  3. Np mate, just teasing a bit. My schedule being ever changing whilst I was there didn't help either, so no worries. Lesson learned for next time. On the plus, it gives us both something to look forward to. :)

  5. Thank you, Daetrin, for sharing all this information—I was having a hard time finding a vendor in Canada. As soon as I came across Authenticprops and did a bit more research, I ordered my suit. I'm so excited! 😊

  6. Whenever cutting into corners I like to use a very small drill bit first, this lowers the chance of it cracking after cutting. Also should mention (in case you haven't) rough up both surfaces with coarse sandpaper before applying glue to coverstrips, helps give the glue something to grip to. Looking good

  8. File Name: Stormtrooper Field Lamp Designer: CPTMRGN Last Update: 15/03/202 File/Link: https://makerworld.com/en/models/255003-storm-trooper-field-lamp Description: We are the most trusted shop in the Outer Rim for Star Wars inspired lamps. Here we have my interpretation of what a Storm Troopers Field Lamp would look like. There are 5 Tiers in all. Tier 1 is your Base. It 's design was based off of the Handcuffs Imperial troopers have unsuccessfully used in almost every situation. Tier 1.5 is the other Cuff. 2 cuffs are always better than 1. This is optional and was designed for my OCD friends who required i have 2 matching cuffs. Tier 2 is inspired by the front chest armor of a trooper. This is the base for all screens in Tier 3. Tier 3 are the screens. I have quite a few to select from to start. Print them all to mix it up once and a while. Tier 3.5 is meant to allow you to stack screens. Using this between screens will allow you to stack as many screens as your heart desires one on top of the other. Tier 4 was inspired by the Storm Troopers Belt. This is the top for all screens and includes the smaller diameter threads for the toppers. Tier 5 are the toppers. There are currently 2 available. One was inspired by the most accurate blaster in the galaxy the "E-11”! The other was inspired by a Storm Troopers helmet. All parts are interchangeable with upcoming lamps. They can even be swapped with the OG Star Wars Lamp “The Jawa Scavenger Lamp” by Warrel72. I used these LED Lamps in my design. Feel free to experiment with others! These are my first ever Fusion 360 Designed files. I was inspired to learn Fusion 360 just a couple of weeks ago because of Warrel72's awesome OG lamps. I have printed and tested these files on a Bambu P1S, Creality CR-10, Ender 3 S1, S5, and a K1Max. The prints you see in the pictures are from the K1 Max and the S1. Let me know if you run into any troubles and i will do my best to fix it!! The Power cut outs in the base our a work in progress. I have yet to find a power cord that will work within the confinements of the size of the lamp. If i find a solution i will post a link to them here! More awesome designs coming soon!!! Stay Tuned.
