  1. While I was in the UK, one of the highlights of the trip was meeting with *the* Rob of RS Props. We sat down and chatted for almost 90 minutes, from which they posted this 30-ish minute video on YouTube at the link below. I someone seriously joke that there a betting pool with the FISD staff on if I could leave his shop without ordering a set of kit. While I hadn't intended on doing so (as I have a nice TK already), I was so impressed by Rob and his commitment to quality that I'm now trying to get my name added to the queue. If you ever have a chance to go to Manchester or meet with Rob, I encourage you to do so. He and his crew are true craftsmen and also some of the nicest people you'd ever meet. Can't say enough good things about them. Many thanks to everyone at RS for creating a truly memorable experience and sharing your passion and expertise for Star Wars costuming. You guys rock!

  2. Here are my thoughts on ab trimming. In addition to the top, I noticed I left quite a bit of material at the lower kidney so I'll probably trim it. I noticed in other builds that there is some space between the bottom of the kidney and the top of the posterior, whereas mine currently overlap. The bottom pic was taken in 2019 and the top pic was taken last night - you can see how much the ab yellowed by me letting it sit out in my garage (which has windows.) Some additional random progress: Here is one shoulder tab and the shoulder strapping snap installed: I forgot I haven't yet sanded the outside of the yoke (the way I printed it, that was the part on top of supports) so that will be slightly unfun to finish: I also used my trusty heat gun to reshape the posterior. I'll probably do a bit more. I was originally going to use an 850 posterior piece since it's smaller but the plastic is paper thin so I decided against it. Here's a comparison of both pieces prior to reshaping:

  3. File Name: Stormtrooper Field Lamp Designer: CPTMRGN Last Update: 15/03/202 File/Link: https://makerworld.com/en/models/255003-storm-trooper-field-lamp Description: We are the most trusted shop in the Outer Rim for Star Wars inspired lamps. Here we have my interpretation of what a Storm Troopers Field Lamp would look like. There are 5 Tiers in all. Tier 1 is your Base. It 's design was based off of the Handcuffs Imperial troopers have unsuccessfully used in almost every situation. Tier 1.5 is the other Cuff. 2 cuffs are always better than 1. This is optional and was designed for my OCD friends who required i have 2 matching cuffs. Tier 2 is inspired by the front chest armor of a trooper. This is the base for all screens in Tier 3. Tier 3 are the screens. I have quite a few to select from to start. Print them all to mix it up once and a while. Tier 3.5 is meant to allow you to stack screens. Using this between screens will allow you to stack as many screens as your heart desires one on top of the other. Tier 4 was inspired by the Storm Troopers Belt. This is the top for all screens and includes the smaller diameter threads for the toppers. Tier 5 are the toppers. There are currently 2 available. One was inspired by the most accurate blaster in the galaxy the "E-11”! The other was inspired by a Storm Troopers helmet. All parts are interchangeable with upcoming lamps. They can even be swapped with the OG Star Wars Lamp “The Jawa Scavenger Lamp” by Warrel72. I used these LED Lamps in my design. Feel free to experiment with others! These are my first ever Fusion 360 Designed files. I was inspired to learn Fusion 360 just a couple of weeks ago because of Warrel72's awesome OG lamps. I have printed and tested these files on a Bambu P1S, Creality CR-10, Ender 3 S1, S5, and a K1Max. The prints you see in the pictures are from the K1 Max and the S1. Let me know if you run into any troubles and i will do my best to fix it!! The Power cut outs in the base our a work in progress. I have yet to find a power cord that will work within the confinements of the size of the lamp. If i find a solution i will post a link to them here! More awesome designs coming soon!!! Stay Tuned. Here we have another interpretation of what a Storm Trooper Thermal Detonator Field Lamp would look like. There are 3 tiers in all. The Bottom is your Base (obviously). There are 2 different options. One with a hole for a power cord, one without. The screen goes on next and will hold 2 led lights. I placed the bottom light upright and the top light, top down. The Top goes ….. you guessed it, on the top! All though, one could just print a top or a bottom and use it for either or :-) All parts are interchangeable with previous and upcoming lamps. They can even be swapped with the OG Star Wars Lamp “The Jawa Scavenger Lamp” by Warrel72. I used these LED Lamps in my design. Feel free to experiment with others! 5. I would be very careful using a heat gun, it takes a lot of practice, you can go from pliable to molten mess in the blink of an eye. I would be inclined to leave it or try to get a replacement if you can't live with it. A bit hard to see but make sure the cover strips stops before the bottom ridge

  6. A few questions after some test fitting: 1) Where do you trim the edges of the posterior plate? ie how far around the sides of the body does it go? 2) Does the bottom need to have any return edge? I may want to trim mine down a bit. 3) Does anyone have any good guides for the shape of the tops of the thighs? Should I try to follow the shape of the cod and posterior pieces as much as possible? I'm going to have to trim them down quite a bit, I think. I already trimmed the sides of the ab down under the armpit area but I think I'm going to trim it even more because I have to hike it up quite high in order for the cod and posterior to not be way too low, and besides being quite uncomfortable, you can actually see it peeking out under my armpits.

  7. Made a quick shoulder tab in Tinkercad: You'll notice it overlaps the cutout for the shoulder strapping so I may modify and reprint it, or just adjust the slot/tab positioning. But should work out well. In the last photo you'll also see some markings where I am considering cutting down the shoulder bell. KB v1 kits are known to have oversized shoulder bells, and I have a friend with a Denuo Novo kit who is going to lend me a shoulder bell so I can compare the sizing.
