  1. Please do not run un-official merch. We are discussing it, I can assure you. Things take time and need to be organised properly. I can't say what will or will not happen yet because we don't know. We are all volunteers and all have lives out side of the legion. Please allow us time to work through things, it's only been a week. I'm missing the details on this, but would be interested to know what happened to avoid any pitfalls. Honestly, if something were set up, we would only want enough to cover materials and postage. JRS used to have a standing merch store. I am not, or ever have been, JRS so I can only convey what I know. My understanding was you could just order merch from stock and not have to wait for a run. That is about as much as I know well enough to put here. The issue with this, from my stand point and no real knowledge of what JRS did, is who owns that stock? It won't be the detachment as we don't have standing funds to pay for it. So that means a member has paid for it out of pocket and really means that they own it. What happens if that member no longer wishes to hold this, do we have to buy them out? Or worse what if they leave the legion entirely and are now have an official legion merch and no reason to follow the rules. In short please leave it to the staff team. We are actively looking into this. Some things are simple and can happen quickly. Other things will take longer, or have complications we need to work out. Some things, as much as we'd like to, can't happen either due to logistical reasons or just not being permitted to by Legion rules.

  2. I compare & contrast the top First Order Stormtrooper armour kits—Jim Trippon, Imperial Surplus, ANOVOS/Denuo Novo, 850 ArmorWorks — so you know exactly what you're getting for the money. Video link here

  3. Started working on the shoulder bell strapping. Used a white paint maker to find the snaps. Also got the spacing for the screen accurate snaps and sewed them on.

  7. Nice work, one thing that looks as it may be an issue, the overlap on the shins should be outside over inside, this is so you don't see any gaps/velcro from the outside, this is standard across most (if not all) TK version costumes. Comparison (note your left leg closure) A few other things, lower attachment from chest to backplate looks like it came loose. Also there is a big gap between your backplate and back, no doubt the pack adds to that, you may need to adjust the strapping, for my Din Djarin my pack harness fits around my chest back and separate to the armor. Belt at 2 different angles. Also on the rear it's angled downwards from left to right. It may be my eyes but appears you may have some print lines on the side detonators. Belt angle, also bunching up of your neck seal

  10. Added gold and grime (not overdoing it though) to the helmet, pretty happy with it and it made it into a display with Enoch during Summer Comic Con in Stockholm this weekend. However, this won’t be my main Trooping helmet as I bought Nico files and subsequenty was blessed with @TKModder421’s updated files. Really looking forward getting that printed.

  11. Also I took the day to strap a bunch of the armor, and while I know I need to fix a few things, such as the abdomen showing where it shouldn't on the sides, and the shoulder armor flying all over the place. Here's a photo of everything but the pack, as I still want to plan it out more before trying to attach it (likely will do it by holes and attaching backpack straps like the CRL model) And here's what it looked like with the shoulder armor not all over the place (no helmet cause the person who helped me left after this photo

  12. I have a TI and although I keep track of all my troops, I don't get involved in the Ace thing. I think our Stormtrooper Hall of Fame is a good way to recognize troops, if you want that. I will make 100 troops in my TK this year, but I still haven't posted my trooping milestones. I am just glad I got this far. I post this just as a personal take on it. If the certificate thing adds fun, its fairly easy to do. I did print out my ESB and Centurion Certificates, so maybe I am a hypocrite.

  13. Quite a bit got finished on the helmet this time around. I fixed both the back piece and the weathering under the right eye. I added more weathering to the yellow, as well as added small dirt/debris marks here and there on the white I fixed the white inside on the mic tips, added the neck seal (I used some truck edge seal stuff found in 11b30b4's black series build). I also darkened the lenses by cutting and putting a welding visor behind the green lenses. I also figured I should add a before and after picture as well to better show some of the changes made.
