  1. So Im going to put this out there. as much as it is an awesome group. Who do amazing things to help those in the community. There is always that very small percentage that is negative. I have chosen to ignore that and get on with what Im doing, that is kitting up as the action figure and making kids and adults smile. I give up my time, that maybe a small amount of time or a couple of days for some events. To raise money. But with that, there is a negative. Might be a small comment like "suck your guts in" (just recently). Now I know I have a bit of a stomach. But that has a lasting effect. And when it comes from a fellow member, hurts that bit more. But I keep doing what I do, because I love it. Im me and you accept it or you dont. But expect that at one time that person may blow up from that comment. Like any normal person. At the end of the day that is what we all are, just normal people. Doing a bit more to help others. As for difficult people submitting for approval. That is out of frustration, also could be because of the negative comments that had been made to them. Goes both ways. But people need to be educated. and those who have been around long enough maybe should help new recruits with the kit they want to get approved. Or maybe inform them they could ask someone who can help them out. We all want to move the Legion forward with more recruits, maybe a little help would go along way to getting them onboard.

  2. Thank you! I had an absolute blast building this starting in April. I’m already getting some battle damage from trooping so i’m glad I submitted when I could. Had to improvise with a pauldron ^ Big thanks to everyone who helped and my DO @Doggydoc for taking the time to critique. I’m happy to tweak this costume further but even more excited to pass on this knowledge to future troopers. Thank you @Cybergrunt and @starsaber25 at my local garrison for all your tips as well as @revlimiter and @MaskedVengeance on Discord with your amazing reference build too

  7. UPDATE: I have started building the Wiki for this costume. As per the first draft in this thread, with some adjustments. As I venture through it, updates will be posted as to more input and direction we go at each level. Just some baselines on the coloured pieces, flexibility in what pieces a member chooses to be grey seems most reasonable. A maximum of three pieces of armour including the helmet or sections there of are permitted Weathering as per earlier discussion can be medium to light and also allow member discretion. Cracks will also be covered by prior discussion in this thread, and crack patterns should also be open to member discretion for an ease and simplicity, unless anyone has more input. Base level, cracks can be surface applied in paint/ paint pen etc. LvL 2 for cracks to be Dremelled into the surface and painted/gold or paint pen etc Lvl 3 Gold "look" leaf applied to the cracks. As Chris pointed out, certainly no need to go to real gold leaf expense unless you really wanted too, but the application is true to the original source. We will have an additional gallery linked to this CRL with several screenshots to give members ideas on patterns and combos.

  8. Welcome, Dave. I know a few troopers with beards, and they all wear balaclavas to keep their beards inside the helmet. Seems to work very well, but that would also be determined by how magnificent your bear actually may be to fit it all in nicley.

  9. I think that you should rather have a cut line like this on the shoulder: Not following the shape all the way out but rather keeping the main line intact! Maybe do the pencil lines on the other shoulder as well and put them side by side for comparison? For the symmetrical look I'd suggest having a look at both shoulders together!

  11. I think it sounds like a way forward to find common ground to have the grey components optional and then from a defined list of variations as seen on screen, pick a maximum of 3 (or something) of those!
