  1. Welcome!!!!! Life was super weird last year for me, and we / I could not give the Valkyries the love at dedication it needed. I was quite split as far as volunteer duties went. I will be stepping away from several areas this upcoming term, and wish to devote time and energy here. I’ll pop back in after elections are completed and a new term begins. I hope everyone is well. Happy. Healthy. [emoji175] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Today I received my 1.5mm ANH Stunt helmet kit from DA Props. I already had plans to spray paint my helmet as the originals were but I was surprised to find that the ABS arrived in a baby blue colour. The wait was rather long due to the seller taking off for the holidays but I'm glad it all arrived in one piece. I plan to start trimming today and gathering the paints required for this project. I am excited! Edit: this blue colour was only a protective film over the white ABS. It has since been removed!

  4. Looking forward to seeing the progress. A few links you may find helpful Some references of screen helmets, many had gaps

  5. personnaly and from a gml perspective i would mod the sides trying to retain the ridge at the back of thigh would be very difficult and with the side mod you only have to blend out one side of the shim as leaving the front edge retains the orignal look

  6. Thanks for the feedback. I went the opposite route originally and glued to the abdomen and used a weaker glue than E6000 thinking it would hold (CA glue, but to a piece of reenforcing ABS along the edge of the abdomen. I will give your recommendation a go. Also good to know that the other pieces help keep things in line. I have my strapping mostly so I will also finish off that and give it a test fit.

  7. Problem with printed plastic is it melts when you try to drill or cut it. For any moulded/plastic blasters I sometimes add just a push switch into the trigger just so I don't have worry about the surrounding area and hinge/spring. All you need then is a hole all the way through for wiring, then a square cut section for the switch to sit in, just glue in place.

  9. As it's your kidney sticking outwards on both sided gluing tabs on the kidney should help them sit behind the abdomen, make sure you rough up both areas with coarse sandpaper before applying E6000 glue and let dry for 48 - 72 hours so it's fully cured. You also need to add your belt when trying fitting as the belt will help keep everything together. Personally I wouldn't do anything more than tabs until you try on other armor pieces, chest and back can make a difference when strapped to the kidney and abdomen.

  10. Hello! I am a new trooper and just found this thread. It has been a year since the last post. I am curious if this got off the ground? I would love to be involved. Thanks!

  11. Just a touch too much yellow. I know it's a photo and could be the lighting too, but it looks like the yellow isn't mixed in enough or could be just slightly thicker in areas making it stand out more. Experimentation is all part of it, I'm sure you will get it closer with patience, just keep at it nice and steady.

  13. I would love to have a Women of Armor group for sure. For name I like Valkyries but can go with other name as long as is a neutral or more of a women's group too. I also vote for a poll too. BL
