  1. Hey troopers, This “fix” for Stormtrooper armour is not my own - it’s a tried and tested method shared here on the forum many times. However, I decided to put a video together to show how I use this method (white fabric and super glue. If you have any other methods, or tips on this method, feel free to drop a comment below. Best wishes Dan

  2. Excellent Dan, I took the liberty of pinning this post so we don't lose it.

  3. It's from Denix and it's really something. My metal E-11 came from Blaster Factory. I highly recommend it!!!

  4. Jim uses a flexible fiberglass not a rigid fiberglass so any coating you apply on the insides needs to also flex, most resins do not. Personally my Sithtrooper from Jim has some fibers inside but I sanded and coated in black spray paint and it's been fine for me. For just sealing the surface on the inside you could use something like a truck bed spray similar to what some have been using in their helmets A few options Rustoleum knock-off of FlexSeal Plasti-Dip Truck bed liner spary Dupli-Color rubberized undercoating

  5. Keep up the great work! Who built the DLT-19? I'd love to have an all-metal E-11 myself, eventually

  6. As Mario said, step by step. You got this James! Any and all inches down are good inches. As for my own update, I'm still doing well. I've stepped the workouts back slightly because I was sore all the time and risking injury. I ride the bike and do core stuff on rest days and don't do heavy lifting days every other day. I'll do about 2 heavy lifts per week and the other lifting day with more cardio style. I also now own an EIGHTEEN LB (eight kg!!!) all metal DLT-19. It's ridiculous and insanely heavy. I want to be strong enough to troop with it someday. It's a goal. I can carry it about 10 minutes before I wanna put it down.

  7. Slow progress but I'm trying to work on at least something each week. Did some more sanding on parts, Taped up a few parts and sprayed black primer on the underside of the pieces. Thanks to Andrew for reminding me that I should tape up the areas where I'm going to glue. I might spray another coat tonight and then I'm going to let the paint cure for a few days before I put a clear coat on it. Probably going with matte since it's the underside, and really just doesn't need to be bright white. Side note, I'm planning on using magnets to secure the chest, and was thinking about using magnets for the shins as well. I'm trying to decide if it would be worth the effort vs velcro. Velcro is super easy to use, and the industrial strength holds pretty well. Magnets looks like a lot of work and planning, but would be nice to lock in place when kitting up. I might use magnets to secure the spats. Still haven't decided.
