  1. So, this is the final visually finished armor. Had to replace the 850AW back with one by Jaime Tripon, as I either was too liberal with cutting mine out. But I'm much more satisfied with look of Jimmy's. Details will follow soon. Next step is modifying the suit for comfort. Some snaps will be replaced by buckles (mainly the shoulder bells) as the keep unplugging. Used a lot of velcro to adjust the fit of the torso and back, gonna cut down on some of that too.

  2. Correct, lol. Looks like it's back to the drawing sculpting board... so time yet again for me to go all Adrian Monk and overanalyze this thing. From what I can tell, it's not just a button but is part of a larger piece as seen in pic 3 below. The silver color kinda' gives that away. Could it be a clip? Plus, it looks to be longer than my present one (pic 4). So, what I am going to do is enlarge it as seen in pics 1 and 5. Since the folding stock is 15 mm wide it will stick over the top a bit... but I'm OK with that. The button part will be thicker of course, but since it will have a larger surface area on the back for adhesive it will keep it from being knocked off easily. 1 2 3 4 5 If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

  6. Now it looks like I have a friend who wants to join and I promised her if she buys it, I'll build it. As well as a different friend who wants me to build them an AM helmet. Let's hope I'm good at this haha.

  7. Adding a piece of foam behind the ab plate can take up some of the slack when you tighten your belt. Some add a tab locking system to the ab/kidney, I'll see if I can find the threads when I am back on computer

  8. If you can notice there is a slight angle on the lower section on the references Appears your holster straps are a little on the angle, perhaps riveted a bit too wide on the belt, may not get noticed. Also make sure when kitting up your drop boxes align with the end of the plastic belt

  10. Hey, great job with the Thigh ammo pack . Those Clips are Ok. Tony @ukswrath is a great maker. About the stain marks, You may want to try with some automotive polishing compound. In my case it has worked well .

  15. Could I suggest perhaps speaking with Bryan @trooper96 who has done some great work with 3D files, he may (or may not) be looking for another challenged as he's exhausted the needs of the E-11's, might be something right up his alley to update/convert

  16. Firstly some helmets are bigger than others. That said I only have fans in my helmet, I use a wired mic, then run the cable down to behind my chest where the aker amp and icomm unit are housed, keeps weight off your helmet which is a must as I have neck issues. My fans use 4 x AA battery packs which fit in nicely on the lower cheeks. Here's a few links showing how others have tackled their helmets Many of us keep the aker and icomm behind the chest, the image below is not mine, I have them tightly together held with elastic with velcro sewn on the back. Also have a small ABS ledge of angled plastic below to stop them falling down. Some use an icomm and hovi tip speakers A few keep them strapped together on their neck
