  1. The new series will visit the space colonies known as side 7 where he will find a new type of stormtrooper being developed. THE TK-78-2 GUNDAM STORMTROOPER!! In actuality this is a April fools joke that is the combination of my love for Star Wars and Gundam. It all started when i saw on Reddit that a artist had made some Gundam TK’s from a model kit and it gave me the inspiration to do this. https://m.blog.naver.com/kunyho78/220594569300 My old Tk costume, that has taken me up mountains, but is now nearing the end of it’s useful life was gladly sacrificed for this passion project. The hard part has been keeping it a secret for over half a year since i finished the costume in October. Trooping this costume this weekend and i intend to have a laugh.

  2. one back bicep piece. Trimmed and sanded.I tried the two finished pieces, front and back on one of my biceps, and I feel like a lot more will need to be trimmed off of either the front or back. I’m going to wait it out until I have the straps to measure everything before cutting more

  3. Also, I wanted to have these photos in this thread for future reference, so here are the shots of me wearing the armor yesterday before the alterations.

  4. Hi Zack, mobility cuts looks good to me since they don't pass the ridges (requirement for L3 Centurion) Here some references in the gallery For the Gloves Paint , IMO you can try with any paint remover in a small are to see hoe it works. When suited up, if the forearms cover the painted section , I don't see any problem to leave them as it. CRL for Basic : Black in color, made of either rubber, nomex, leather, or leather-like material, with no visible straps or logos/designs. The fingers are enclosed.

  5. Looking good just a couple of tweaks. Right thigh has rotated out so not matching the left You could lift the belt up just a tad but that's more for higher levels Although you have a shim on the side between the ab and kidney there is still a small opening showing black, you may be able to tighten the strapping. FYI seams would need to be filled for higher levels Drop boxes elastic may be a bit tight, they don't sit down under the belt very well and this one not aligned with the end of the belt. Also your shoulder straps are sitting a little high at the back. Don't see anything major that should hold you up, mainly just some tweaks. Good luck with approval and hope to see you apply for EIB and Centurion

  6. What I would do is to mark with a pencil the cut lines to see how it looks first. According to the CRL for L3 -Cut-out notches at the bottom of right and left sides of the Kidney Armor are optional. - If present, each notch is approximately 22 mm tall and the back of the notch ideally is aligned with the front edges of the Posterior Armor plate..

  7. One thing to consider is that during a troop the majority of the time you will be holding your E-11 with your arms bent.. When dry fitting (before gluing) make sure that the return edges on the inside top of the forearm don't dig into you. If the top opening is even the slightest bit snug in that area those edges will cause chafing (we call it "armor bite") after a short time. If it's loose enough you can get away with the extra return edge there, but if you find this out afterward and trim them down the top can be too loose. Some folks can get away with it, some can't.. it's a matter of comfort. Whether you remove that area or not it will not affect approval at any level, but the majority of those seen/used onscreen had no return edges. Either way you do it just make sure the edges are sanded down really smooth.

  9. Inside biceps. Trimmed and sanded. I feel pretty good about these so far. One of the outside bicep pieces still need some work.

  11. Sniper knee trimmed and sanded. I feel like a little more can be cleaned up on that top left edge.

  12. And I’m back! Update trim on the butt plate as suggested by a couple of good people here on this thread.

  14. I have one of these too, and yours is in great condition. Did you get the box and the sling with it too? There are so many differences between the MGC and the Sterling L2A3, but the one that surprised me the most is the difference of size between the Outside Diameters of the barrels.
