  1. Thanks! And I will definitely have to remember that for the future! Haha. Don't want to walk around as a half-dressed trooper!!
  2. After doing cutouts on all leg pieces. Definitely more comfortable. Stairs still suck, but walking is vastly improved. I think they look alright and to my eye they seem to pass inspection. Time will tell.
  3. Also, I wanted to have these photos in this thread for future reference, so here are the shots of me wearing the armor yesterday before the alterations.
  4. I ended up having to do the cutouts on the shin armor as well. I think they turned out better than the thighs. Going to take a second stab at the thighs and clean them up. As for the gloves, a tiny bit of acetone on a paper towel, a quick wipe and the print came right off!
  5. Hello there! I received my commissioned build yesterday and I've already started digging into the modifications. The overall construction seems great! My only major complaint is around the leg armors, specifically where they have cut my legs behind the knee haha. I started by sanding down the return edges with the left thigh piece. You can even see a little bit of my blood left on the corner of the right thigh armor Another angle of each for comparison. I also did a little bit of sanding on the rear of the upper thigh so it would stop digging into my posterior. I'm holding the left thigh slight tilted away from the camera in the photo. I tried the left thigh on again at this point and it felt better. But it's still not quite where I want it to be. So I'm thinking I want to pursue some mobility cutouts. Here I have sketched the line where I'd like to sand to. I would really love some feedback and guidance on the shape and placement of the cutout. The other hiccup is that there is an internal strip that provides an excellent seam for the armor, and my mobility cutout essentially removes that. Seen below. Should I be concerned or will the external cover strips be enough to keep it closed? And here is how it looks next to the shin armor. I haven't decided yet on cutouts for the shin. If the thigh changes solve my issue, I'll probably try to leave the shins as is. My last question for help (for today anyway haha) is about my gloves. They are heavyweight chemical gloves, but they have a prominent white logo on them. Anybody know the best way to either remove it or cover it up? Thanks so much for reading and for the advice!
  6. Thank you all for the warm welcome! Today is the day and I've posted in the ESB Build forum. Enjoy the pictures!
  7. THANK YOU for the photo posting tips! That is so much better! Please enjoy the first looks at my ESB TK!!!
  8. Armor arrived today! This was a commission from Troopermaster. I was so excited I had to immediately put the helmet on! ------------
  9. Hi everyone! My name is Zack and I'm 32 years old. Been a lurker around here for a while, looking at others builds. I've wanted to wear Stormtrooper armor since I was a kid. 8 months ago I finally decided to pursue it seriously. I reached out to Troopermaster and commissioned a full set of ESB armor. He notified me yesterday that my build was finished and I couldn't be more excited! The pictures look amazing and I can't wait to have it in hand and do the final fit and touches. Not sure how long the final fit will take me to get right for qualification, but I'm hoping to be able to submit for a TK in the 501st this year. I've been looking into electronics options for the helmet. Thinking I want the voice changer, hearing assist system, and fans. I don't consider myself a very skilled craftsman (hence the commission route above lol), so I could definitely use some pointers and advice when it comes to installing. I've been working on improving my crafting skills through scale model building over the last 6 months. Mostly Gundam, but I did do a 1/144 scale Millennium Falcon build that was pretty fun. The model building has definitely given me the confidence to at least attempt some armor customizations. Thanks for being such an awesome community! Wish me luck!
