ekul1978 Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 Got another question guys On my FX armour im using the ABS for the belt, the instructions say to use velcro to join them is this the easiest way or are there any other easy options? luke Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 I used snaps when I had a plastic belt. Quote
Darth_Nickel Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 I too used snaps. SOmetimes it's a blessing, sometimes it's been more of a pain (trying to get them together in a hurry, reaching around your back) I'm now moving to a canvas belt... Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 I used leather for my TD and TK4205 just finished tailoring my canvas one for my TE2 TK. I'd never go back to plastic after moving off of it. As mentioned though, the plastic belt is readily cannibalized for snap plates or shims Quote

Dargas[501st] Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 I?m using Velcro on my plastic belt... and will most probably use velcro on my canvas one once it is done. My Belt will be a Mixture of the original abs plastic belt inside the canvas one to add strength and rigidity to the belt. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 With the canvas you get a double lock - first using industrial velcro and second from the fact that the thermal detonator clips on to the belt. Quote
Dargas[501st] Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Yo, Paul! Do you have any pics on the clip mod on the therm. detonator? Quote
