Hello there,

I will be building my Stunt kit (my first TK) when it arrives and I look forward to all your help in the process.

To give perspective, I am a 52 year old guy that is 5'6 and 135 pounds. My research led me to order a Walt's kit to best suit my size. As things arrive and I have time to work on them I will call upon my fellow troopers to help me achieve a Tier 2 build!

I am a current 501st member as a Tier 2 ROTJ Biker Scout so I have that experience in fitting armor - I hope that's enough!

Welcome. Looking forward to following your build. Have you considered building for level 3 instead of 2?

Hey Z,

Welcome to the FISD! I too would like to encourage you to go for Level 3 especially since you are building it from scratch.  If you start with the level 3 in mind when you begin, you won't have to go back and adjust things later that would pass for 2 but not 3 if you were to decide to do it later on.  Looks luike you got a good start on them boots.  Your blaster looks nice. May I suggest a little paint to cover the silver screws?  They stand out against the weathering that's already done.  Would love to see you start a WIP thread so we can follow along.

Hey Doggydoc- Thanks, I had to laugh a bit by your question, I totally plan on building with Centurian in mind!.... but...... reality gets in the way, hence my original post of "...help me ACHEIVE a Tier 2 build!"  LOL :D

One question I have as I wait for my armor - is separating the cod from the ab plate (for movement) a deal-breaker for Centurian??... I didn't see anything specific on this in the CRL

I would suggest trying the suit on first without cutting the cod, you really can move quite a lot with the cod attached, yes I can sit.

But if you did cut you would have to hide the cut behind the belt so it is not seen from the outside.

I'm sure one of the @Deployment Officer Team will be along to comment in due course to answer in regards to L2 and L3.

Hi there.

With respect to separating the cod piece from the abdominal section.  We have had troopers approved at level 3 that have done this.  The belt will cover the seam, so it will not be visible and therefore approvable at level 3.  At 5’6”, this will definitely help with mobility.

As a 145lb 5'7" trooper in a Centurion Walt kit I can say I think his kit will be a great size for you. I personally wouldn't separate the cod as it doesn't affect me at all. If you have any fitting questions feel free to message me on how I went about things. Overall the fit was near perfect.

2 months and still waiting for my armor set.......hopefully soon!

I also decided to not use the Blaster I bought. the more I look at it, the more I am not happy with the quality. So I started 3d printing my own sterling and will modify accordingly.

I see a couple different scope model "options" that are acceptable M-38 or M-19, I want to get that correct for Centurian standards as well if it makes a difference.

Thanks in advance

Both are acceptable for L3 Centurion

And still waiting for my armor kit......turns out he didn't even have any white material to even make kits when I sent the $$ in Feb. :(
In the meantime, is this where I continue my build thread or did I miss it somewhere else?

Unfortunate for sure, shame you weren't told this earlier. White waiting you have your research to do, research is the key to this hobby, you have some great links previously posted, any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Looking forward to seeing your soon :duim:
