CableGuy[TK] Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) Hi Gary, Overall, you’ve done a great job on your build - you wear it really well. :-) Just a couple of things have hit me, at a glance, that need adjusting for your target of Centurion. Your drop boxes should align with the outside edge of the main belt. Also, you could probably straighten the 45degree corners of the belt, rather than soft curves. (See reference gallery for examples - should line up with the canvas of the belt) The magazine on your E-11 appears to be backwards. Just a dressing issue, but you might want to try and line up the thighs and shins for a slightly neater look. One final thing I’d mention is the inside of the mic tips should be white to the inner edge. Easy changes. You’ve done a cracking job on that! Edited February 22, 2018 by CableGuy 2 Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Nice work, apart from what has already been mentioned, you could bring up your biceps a bit as the shoulder bell is not covering your right one on the back photo. Also on the back photo you can see one of your shoulder straps is sticking up and the other is contouring the back plate. Looks like your chest plate is just covering your ab on the side photos, would suggest a tighter elastic there, could also help to bring your cod up a little to give you some more room at your thighs. Good luck with approval 1 Quote
Asystole[TK] Posted February 22, 2018 Author Report Posted February 22, 2018 Thanks so much for the feedback. I did realize the shin didn’t line up when I put it on couple days ago, thought I fixed it. Added some elastic to go down around foot to help but I didn’t get it straight it appears. Thanks for the drop box reference had no clue. And for the belt edges, AP didn’t come with a lot of trim lines or return edges on a lot of pieces. 1 Quote
Asystole[TK] Posted February 22, 2018 Author Report Posted February 22, 2018 Any suggestion on the biceps and bells? Having a hard time keeping them up by the bells with the hook system in UKWraths build. Even modified the hook to hold better of the elastic, thought I did but appears to be hanging to low still. The elastic broke on the one shoulder strap so it is kinda flopping in the pics.. Quote
ABS80 Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 You can actually trim off the rear big tab of the shoulder straps, the original didnt have any, I just added those as a extention. Mark (AP) 2 Quote

The practical popper method is popular. As below, one popper on inside of the bell and another popper on the inside of the bicep, connected by (approx) 1inch wide elastic. gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Bicep hooks can also help to keep things in place. 2 Quote
Asystole[TK] Posted February 22, 2018 Author Report Posted February 22, 2018 Thanks for all the feedback on biceps. I did the hooks, however did not do the straps in them. The straps will do the job perfectly.. 2 Quote
Neb Sgird[TK] Posted February 23, 2018 Report Posted February 23, 2018 Second the straps/hooks combination. If one fails, your whole arm won't fall off On 2/21/2018 at 11:29 PM, Asystole said: Does modified helmet fail Centurion Level ? To my knowledge no. No one will care what the inside of your helmet looks like, as long as your lenses are dark enough. 1 Quote
Asystole[TK] Posted February 24, 2018 Author Report Posted February 24, 2018 Thank you all whom took the time to review my build for the feedback, it was all very helpful. Made the changes this morning after work, hard 45* angles on belt and drop boxes lined with outer edge, luckily magazine with easy to turn around since it detaches to hold my batteries for the electronics, mic tips painted white all the way to edge, snaps/strapping added to biceps and hopefully I adjusted strapping enough in shin to keep it forward (won’t know for sure till am when I test it after e6000 dries. My lenses are doubled up, light green acetate for color on outside and dark green inside. Will have pics of changes posted this weekend. Hoping to make it to pensacon tomorrow and hang with Parjai Squad for a bit, after a quick fit check in am. 2 Quote
Asystole[TK] Posted March 2, 2018 Author Report Posted March 2, 2018 Corrections made... 1. Straightened my lines , fixed bells and the shoulder strap.. 2. Hovi mic tips white all the way to edge (waiting on paint to dry to replace screens) 3. Turn my magazine around.. 4. Drop boxes flushed with edge and edges 45* hard angles 2 Quote
Neb Sgird[TK] Posted March 5, 2018 Report Posted March 5, 2018 Looking good! Should be an easy approval. The only suggestion (and this is more for aesthetics, not for approval reasons) I have is to even out the gaps in your arms. Your wrist gap is much bigger than your elbow gap. You could drop your forearm piece a centimeter or two to even them out. Now go get that TK number! 1 Quote
Asystole[TK] Posted April 3, 2018 Author Report Posted April 3, 2018 It’s official Thanks to all for your guidance ! Question now do I apply for EIB or can I try straight for centurion since I built for centurion from the get go?? TK-52417 1 Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted April 3, 2018 Report Posted April 3, 2018 You need to do EIB first before you can go for Centurion. Contratulations, and good luck with EIB. 1 Quote
