BadBatch[501st]
I'm nearly assembled with my ANOVOS kit as an ANH TD (non-special edition) and have a trimming question on the rear of the legs. I can basically get around but stairs are my worst enemy. Is it still acceptable at higher level certifications to make the trims as indicated in this post from ~5yrs ago? I'd hate to do something at this point that might affect my options later, but at the same time would really like a bit more mobility. BTW: I'm 6' even and fairly solidly built.http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/13822-peters-am-buildam/?p=171713 Edited January 4, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photo updated gmrhodes13 2021

dktigerz2
Hey i am having the same exact issue with mine. I cannot climb stairs and everytime i bend my velcro on the back is coming off. Did this trim help? Did you end up doing it? I am about 90% complete and want to button up this stuff. DK
T K[501st]
I never thought of doing this. Would the best way to do this is to use a Dremel??
wreakHavoc309[TK]
I did this and it really helps a lot. I can do stairs and even sit down now with it. I first cut out some semicircular pieces and then sanded the leftover edge with a Dremel. Very easy to do and a great fix: Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Oracle
I'm not sure if this is screen accurate but a lot of the more experienced guys have directed me this way as well. Much more comfortable.
pandatrooper[TK]
Watch the troopers in A New Hope. A good number of them have notches cut out of the backs of thighs and shins.
JPofSD
I just did this without checking this post. Thank the maker it's a "Yes". I was willing to sacrifice higher certification for mobility. It feels much better and now I'm not Frankenstein's trooper when I walk!
Rob .T .[TK]
If you are planning this cut , I would suggest checking the screen grabs from Star Wars , and checking out how they did it for the screen used armour , that way , if you copy the screen used costumes, there can be no issues with clearance at any level . <br> If in doubt ...check the movie ! ABS80
Some of the movie suits had notches but some way over do it and accurate, if your aiming for centurion be carefully were and what you trim off.
