My ANH Stunt TK was made and assembled by RS Prop Masters to my specifications.

Please let me know if I'm missing anything.

I was told that they are technically not required and don't count against your application if not submitted.

In fact, I have a Hyperfirm E-11 but haven't installed the D-ring yet.

I believe the consensus was that the 'optional' part was for basic approval only. EIB OR Centurion must have blasters. Steve will confirm for you though.

I'm getting very conflicting stories on that topic.  But I'll install the D-ring and add the photos today.

A blaster that meets the requirements is definitely not optional when going beyond basic approval.

Hi Gary! Looks like a nice build. :D  A few things I notice that might need attention moving forward to Centurion.  Your lower under armor(pants) is a bit bunchy in spots. You may want to go a size smaller to get a tighter look. You have a lot of excessive return edge all over your armor. Especially noticeable on your kidney plate when viewed from the back. It has a bumpy/wavy appearance along the top ridge. This may need to be cleaned up. Also your sniper plate could use a bit of trimming and sharpening up for the portion the sticks up above the shin. I also noticed the back thigh ridges have been completely cut out into an upside down U shape, this may or may not be an issue The gap between the ab and kidney flares open as it goes towards the bottom. This may need to be corrected. Also your drop boxes should be even with the belt edge. And I think your holster needs to be moved over to the left a bit. The holster placement is also a bit high. You may need to trim the drop strips and lower the placement. Looking at your helmet, the gray on the last teeth positions should not have a gap, it should be continuous. The kidney split rivets are in the correct position but the split rivets on your ab plate are too far forward. They should be 10mm from the seam line. The cover strip on your right thigh is too long at the top. I would trim lower so it is flush with the thigh. Your canvas belt has a lot of fraying. Trimming the frays and watering down some white Elmer's glue and applying with a brush will help control it. Your thermal detonator screws are correct but need to be painted black. I would also scrape the white paint of the ab snap and the cod rivet, These typically were not painted. As always, please don't make any corrections until instructed to do so by the DL!

Good luck sir! I wish you al, the best! :jc_doublethumbup:

I think the white gap in the frown is fine as many original ones had a gap there in the paint. I think maybe it's just that the grey is a touch too thick and doesn't follow the frown line as well as it could.

I feel it is important to point out that you are critiquing Rob & Simon ' s work.

Here is their website:

http://www.rspropmasters.com/

As for the bottom back side of the thigh plates, I was told by several garrison members including our chief armorer that I would have to shave that area out to prevent the bites I was getting, and was shown photos of actual screen-used armor that had the same thing done to it, and so not to worry.

This isn't a criticism but tips of moving above and beyond basic level. To me the only thing that stands out are the holster positions on the belt.

Seen in the picture above, the rivet positions for the holsters are towards the lower half of the belt.

You might also want to shave of the sides of your belt closer to the rivet covers as seen in the picture below:

Other than that you look good :duim:

I had to make a lot if changes over my basic build to get to Centurion level. I am merely pointing out areas of possible opportunity should you choose to try for Centurion. Please don't take what anyone says negatively. We are all here to help.

Absolutely not, I very much appreciate your feedback.  That is why I changed my above post's wording from "criticize" to "critique" which is more accurate and appropriate.

Blaster looks good. :duim:  I would tone down the weathering on the scope. Hyperfirms are notorious for too much scope weathering.

Also, here is a holster placement reference.

Thanks everybody.

I had always felt the belt fraying looked a bit ratty but assumed that it must be authentic since RS sent it assembled like that, but I never noticed it with the armor on so it's been an item pushed to the back of my mind.  The rivet positions for the holster mount are my own fault, so I'm glad to know that I can correct it when I replace the belt.  Thanks for the handy diagram.  Now I can refer right to my own EIB request thread when I gear up for Centurion.

I hope the extra photos are not a problem.  I initially thought I could just apply for Centurion and assumed it would include both checklists and certifications in one step [wrong!], so they were erroneously posted in that thread first.

Hey Gary:

Well, it almost seems like the entire FISD community chimed in here! It's great so see so many people involved and helping out!  Ah, another RS suit to compliment the Legion!!! Let's take a look at your armor.

CRL Requirements:

Thank you for posting the blaster pics. We have beat that horse to death so there is no reason to discuss that further. I did, however take the liberty of editing your post to include the armor and helmet maker. As for the required EIB application photos, all are present. Your armor meets all standards. With that, I would like to congratulate and welcome you to EIB!!

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly:

there was a suggestion about trimming the ends of your waist belt to come closer to the rivet cover. I would avoid this. RS positions their rivet covers a little closer to the belt box rather than the edge. You really don;t want to shorten your waist belt just to bring the edge closer to the rivet cover. One thing that I would suggest looking into trimming is your sides. RS likes to leave that extra material on the sides of the AB plate. However in doing so, this throws off the proper location of the hardware. The male snap on the right side should be located here:gallery_12157_11_5412461_zps47174b23.jpg14115506200_d83ee39528_b1_zps5629819c.jp and the rivets on the left side should be closer to this:gallery_12157_16_598.jpg14279000356_da1ba56db6_b1_zps02910c44.jp Now, If the suit was made in anyway oversized and you can squeeze the clamshell together to gain overlap, you can trim the sides back to bring the hardware closer to the proper position.

The last suggestion I have is actually not armor related. It's regarding your undersuit. Jason has brought it up that it looks very bunched up especially behind your knees. I'd look into some compression wear that hugs your body a little better to improve your overall look.

Lastly, You ab buttons are a little small. I'd touch them up a bit cover a little more of the buttons as seen here:gallery_12157_16_28564.jpg

Centurion Suggestions:

Not much to improve on here. Some very minor things to look into:

Dab a little black paint or marker onto your TD screws

The paint on your male, right side snap, the male snaps on your butt plate, and your cod rivet needs to be removed.

This is fantastic armor. Your Garrison should be proud to have you. Congratulations again!

Thanks very much again.

As for the join in the sides I did ask RS to leave a little extra there because it was a long wait for the big brown box and my weight was fluctuating a bit.  As I reach my fighting weight I will be able to trim down the excess on that side.
