they are also hurting the back of my knees when I try to flex, I saw some people cutting the back thighs, they remove the red part :

I didn't see any post about this method so I am not sure if it is the way to go...

I really need to do this on my thighs too, anyone that knows for sure how this will effect application? I went trough a couple of AP Centurion requests and it seems like some of them have done this too. Edited by Kadows

These last two weeks I worked on the legs  :)

I tried to place the knee plate but it seems quite challenging, I will work on it later later

Thighs:

front and back strips are done

I had to cut the back and the result seems decent (forgot to take a picture), I am now able to walk and use the stairs :duim:

before I start to drill, can you tell me if the position is good for the ammo pack?

Yes everyone it is okay to trim that red marked area on your thighs, and you can to your shins too. it won't effect you on EIB or Centurion, as long as you don't cut too much. The originals all had that notch cut out for better movement so its screen accurate!

a little update :

Thanks to my wife, I was able to do this

I think it will need some fine tuning but I will check it when I will do my next test fitting.

Shoulder bells and arms should be attached soon!!

Thanks for this pic!   I'm building a different set of armor (NE), but I was wondering how I was going to prevent my butt plate from flaring out at the sides.  There is enough of an outward curve that it just wouldn't sit well on my body the way it is.  If I put the snaps on the far edges of the butt plate like you have, and attach them to the edge of the kidney, the belt will push the kidney into my body, and the strap *should* pull the butt plate back into my body, getting rid of the curve.

Now that I'm looking at your set-up, how are you going to do the connections between the kidney and the ab?  Having the snap plate on the corner of the kidney where you do will prevent from having a strap there running from the ab to the kidney

I've decided to install the inner drop boxes the way I've seen a lot here (ABS strips recycling)

Looking great Mickael. Those shouers look good now with the straps.

Are you planning for EIB or Centurion?

Thanks guys  ;)

yes Ian, my shoulders are ok now, they don't move!

I will try to go for EIB, but first I'm on a diet and I will need to stabilize my weight (especially to know the shims size for the kidney plate).

It would be great to have my 501st approval Sunday (if you know what I mean ^_^ ), fingers crossed.

It just reminds me I will also take a picture with my other cat when I will be approved  :D
