pattrooper Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 Do I use e6000 to attach flexilbe hand guards to my rubber gloves or can any rubber cement work? Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 Karin has always suggested to use Loctite for plastics with the primer pen. It is basically superglue with a pen that super cleans both surfaces for a really tight bond Quote
pattrooper Posted December 26, 2013 Author Report Posted December 26, 2013 These hand guards from Karin are incredible. Highly recommended. Quote
Dark CMF[Staff] Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 Ordered mine this week. Can't wait for them to arrive!! Good luck with your glue! Quote
Smiling Fox[TK] Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 Will the loctite work on the latex hand guards and a velcro strap? I don't have rubber gloves and prefer to use my flight gloves. Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 I think the velcro will absorb the loctite (which is liquid) making it unable to glue anything. Maybe if you find some Loctite in gel form it might work though. Quote

Sonnenschein Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 Loctite is the way to go! For the painted latex guards (like you have, Pat) regular CA (super) glue will do the job. But I recommend the loctite with activator pen nevertheless, because it creates an incredible strong bond. Will the loctite work on the latex hand guards and a velcro strap? I don't have rubber gloves and prefer to use my flight gloves. it might work, but you will lose the flexibily of the hand guards. Get some white cotton gloves to wear underneath to rubber gloves. Almost no sweat! Quote
Wasteland Posted January 23, 2014 Report Posted January 23, 2014 Karin for the non latex handguards, what can I use, Ive used just about anything and the non latex wont stick to the rubber glove that was supplied. Quote

TK bondservnt[501st] Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 loctite for latex on latex glove... even the regular 'pro' works fine... the non latex I've never tried... plus ~1 on this for me! Quote
