TempestLion Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 So lets say you're out trooping and something (anything) breaks. What should a good travel repair kit contain? Quote
Dday[501st] Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 I have a strip of ABS big enough to be a cover strip or quick patch, E11 glue, super glue, a few snaps, some elastic and adhesive velcro, a hobby knife, an extra set of hand guards and an aluminum strip. Quote
Sonnenschein Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 I have a strip of ABS big enough to be a cover strip or quick patch, E11 glue, super glue, a few snaps, some elastic and adhesive velcro, a hobby knife, an extra set of hand guards and an aluminum strip. sounds resonable. But why the extra set of hand guards? I'd also a blister patch and some pain killers. Or leave everything at home and do what they did on the movie set back in '77: white duct of gaffer tape Duct tape is like the Force: It has a dark side, a light side and it holds the universe together! Locitus[Admin] Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 White gaffer tape, pain kills and a small multi tool for screws with knife on it, and some various batteries. That's all I carry. Quote
Striker Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) I carrry everything mentioned above in a small sterilite container , also good to have some chewing gum, it helps keep cooler/hydrated Edited March 15, 2013 by Striker Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 I have snaps, hammer, elastic, super glue, 5 min epoxy, heat glue and gun, and if all else fails I have white duct tape, have not needed any of it as yet Quote
Dday[501st] Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 I have a second set of handguards that came with my kit, the ABS ones. If at one point the glue comes off and the guard separates or something, I want to be prepared. I have glued elastic bands on the ABS handguards, so it's easy to slip them on in an emergency. Quote
Chunk[501st] Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Gaffer Tape, knife, plyers, small screwdrivers, couple of dollars, batteries & something else, but can't remeber it right now. i'll rememer when Im out trooping & need it & go Ohhh thats what I needed to replace in the repair kit Quote
