Holster feedback

I thought that while I wait for armor I'd experiment and try making my own blaster holster.

 

This is my first attempt and I'd hugely appreciate any feedback. I still have quite a lot of the material so I can makes lots of mistakes

I'm no expert but it looks good.

 

I had to cut that notch out of my own holster... good to just put it in.

not bad for a first try!

 

suggestions:

 

use thicker leather.

make your cuts cleaner on the top strapping.

square off the handle strap 1" from the snap.

try 1/4" hillman screw posts for the top strapping.

 

looks like a great addition to an EIB trooper application?
