Darth Hilarious
Jimmy McEwan Darth Furious KnightFall Squad, Terror Australis Garrison Armor= 100% SCREEN ACCURATE 501ST APPROVED GENUINE FX is what the eBay listing said Helmet= Looks suspiciously like AP Blaster= Doopy's base parts on aluminium pipe, Tango'd Fett's greeblies Height = 5'10" Weight = about 25 pounds or so (lost a bit of weight lately, so the belt was sitting a little low) Boots = TK boots Canvas belt = TKittel Decals = TrooperBay Electronics = I think it's an Aker, but it's all in Chinese so who knows, really? Neck Seal = Shiney (TAG) Holster = The Fett (TAG) Obviously, getting a suit that was already approved before it was even sent to me was a huge boon, makes things so much easier when you don't even have to wait until your kit is built! And being 100% screen accurate, it was practically Centurion-ready out of the box! Just had to get rid of the gaffer tape and flaky paint. Drum roll... So, what say you 'elitist accuracy snobs'? Does the Birthday Boy get in??? Oh, and I'd be remiss not to thank my sponsor... Edited September 14, 2012 by Darth Furious
Spectre
100% screen accurate FX?! What a score! That seller must be kicking himself now... Good luck bro, kit's looking good.
Darth Hilarious
Yeah, super-accurate FX is as rare as hen's teeth. I was suprised he was willing to part with it.
bjsavage7[TK]
Looks pretty good, man. I think your belt is a bit long. The end of it shouldn't go past the TD.

Darth Hilarious
Looks pretty good, man. I think your belt is a bit long. The end of it shouldn't go past the TD. Thanks! The old Turd Polish must have worked! And yeah, I totally agree. I've been wanting to replace that... Looks Great Trooper!! I guess you didn't need to use any ab shimms.... Good Luck!! Cheers, man. LOL, as Spectre said, you'd be surprised... I managed to overestimate my skinny-ness somwhat, and trimmed WAY too much off when I was first building. There's about an inch and a half of shim on each side. Before anyone asks- yes, I LOVE doing things the extra hard way.
Locitus[Admin]
Sorry about the delay in reviews. Your turd polish may not be completely worthless. My suggestions are that you paint the ear screws white. As they are now are like a soar thumb. Secondly, you're so skinny! I think you can trim some more off the sides of the ab and kidney, move the back plate up higher and the drop boxes higher up and slightly inwards to align better with the corner of the belt. Also, get a better camera. Your pictures look like they were taken with a webcam from the 90's With that said, I think I can approve you. All good about the delays, I can understand you're a busy Troooper. I had to use quite a few jars of that Turd Polish. I definetely need to pick up some more before I try out for Centurion... But I like obvious ear screws... eh, white would be a good colour for them, better than green, I guess. I'm going to try and gain some weight rather than trim more, I'd hate to need to shim just because I finally ate a decent meal! Yeah, the back could be sitting in a slightly more sexy position, duly noted. I actually really like the boxes where they are, they hang directly below the tabs (but the tabs are further out than they should be), I'll move them in a bit, but I'm very conscious of not becoming one of the many who wear tehm far too far in... LOL, you don't like my mobile phone's cam?? All good, I was in a rush to get my application in on my birthday, I do have a better cam, and I'll use it for my Centurion app. Mind, I figured you might not be terribly strict, I kept hearing rumours that this EIB thing is actually pretty easy to get... Looks like they were true. Congrats man! Valley Troopers ftw! *Expert fives* Took my suit from eBay to EIB, everyone please excuse me while I go and be proud of myself. Darth Hilarious
Congrats to you too Trooper!! Must be Aussie week!! Welcome to the Club! Proud to be an Aussie TK But it's much more geographically specific than that: Me and Spectre Not only both Australian Both in the State of Victoria In the Latrobe Valley (we live about 15 miles apart) A good hour away from any of the rest of our Squad. Hence the 'Valley Troopers' reference. Edited September 16, 2012 by Darth Furious
Locitus[Admin]
I will have to put a word in here though that FX is in my mind way too inaccurate to be worthy of centurion, and the only reason I'd ever approve one is if my hands were tied, and I'd require some heavy modifications to even consider it. I actually agree with you there, the FX sculpt has so many fundamental inaccuracies. That said, my chest and back have both been shortened... Besides the mods you've already suggested, what else would I be needing to do? (once I affix my shoulder bridges at the back, I will technically have 'ticked all the boxes')

Darth Hilarious
Get a new kit? On my budget?!? But seriously... I support of your thoughts on cover strips for Centurion, but you haven't put them in the requirements yet! I might have to try and sneak in while your hands are still tied... Locitus[Admin]
If you respect the centurion program for what it aims to be rather than just to get a badge, I suggest that you don't.
Darth Hilarious
If you respect the centurion program for what it aims to be rather than just to get a badge, I suggest that you don't. Agreed. We should put forth an amendment proposal to exclude FX kits from the program, yes? Or at least a complete list of the necessary mods... Darth Hilarious
Congrats Jimmy on your EIB, well done trooper Thanks mate. I'm working on it, but it has to be approved in a detachment vote. So it hangs on you guys. Well then, get it finished ASAP so we can vote on it! I think the shins.greaves are one of the worst parts on FX, the curved detailing at the top is nothing like the angular business on proper kits. That's why I replaced mine And of course the chest/back mods are a must. Let's not even talk about FX lids. What parts do you find particularly troubling?
