Is this an actual AP bucket?

It's a recast.

 

The first sentence alone gives it away; "This mold is from the AP mold series". There is only AP, not a line of them. Secondly, no real AP helmet is cast in resin, they are all vacuum formed ABS.

Exactly my cues.

 

And the ear pieces are flush and sealed.

 

Also there is the fifth eye tooth taken out, so it wouldn't really pass muster anyway without filling that in.

That helmet is one of the TE fibreglass SFS recasts made from resin. I recognise it easily because I have one that I bought a few years ago on the RPF believing it to be a geniune piece. It is definitely NOT an AP.

 

This particular one looks a bit more squashed than mine and may even be a recast of a recast? They are very heavy and more of a display piece than to wear for trooping.
