E-11 real sterling build- blastercore 4.0

Recommended Posts

This thread will contain my buildup photos of the process I'm using to create the e-11 with all original parts.

I've started up the entire build with help from my local machinist, blaster hardcore parts sellers on this board,

andy and marv are mostly responsible for my scope and hengstler.

Erv from plecter labs has his new blastercore v.4 on the way to me.

here's a series of photos showing the parts in pre- assembly:

the tube started out like this:

rear end cap detail: note how I'm leaving the parts connected to assure proper alignment when braized to the end of the tube.

post will contain brazing photos, pre assembly and testing photos with switch installations.

prep, painting and final assembly photos.

videos will also be made.

I have a plan to include a rumble motor as a fan to blow smoke out the barrel

when the blastercore fires!

here's a hint of the device I plan to use:

it's a smoke ring toy!

the entire electronic setup will go in the front of the gun under the T Tracks, with the speaker mounted behind

a NON moving bolt. this way the cocking channel is the speaker well, and all the important parts will be mounted

in the FRONT instead of at the rear, like most builds.

  • 9 months later...

sadly in the stormtrooper world, my own projects take a back seat to the troopers I'm helping currently.

far too much work to do on other people's armor, blasters and holsters to keep me busy to finish this build even before 2013 hits.

all that's left for me to do on this build, and it's a lot!

assemble and complete milling on steel tube, clean up template and prep for braizing.

find a machinist/gunsmith to help with the prep and braizing of parts to the tube.

assemble the blastercore, with wires, led's rumble motor and power packs.

assemble charging station

install hall switches, and test boards

paint, assemble and photograph.

lot's of work, time and money left to go!
