Laspector[TK]
I have an FX suit and bucket (please don't start on the accuracy thing) that I like very much. My helmet is already assembled and I did not paint the inside black, as I see many people have done. Has anyone ever gone back and painted the inside after it was assembled? I realize that spray paint is pretty much out at this point because it is already put together, but I would really like to paint the inside...Anybody got any advice? Also, I am WAAAAY down here in the south and it is hotter than the fires of Hades down here. Does the black paint increase the heat inside the bucket? Chefhawk[501st]
hi, mine was painted black with just car spray. After it was almost finished I took the lense material out and masked up the eyeholes. If you are carefull, then you should have no problems at all. Black absorbs heat from the sunlight, so as its on the inside it should be cooler if anything. Im sure others out there will advise as well. hope this helps. Apollo
There wasn't anything on the inside of my bucket (lenses, electronics, padding) when I sprayed it, but the helmet was completely assembled so all it took was some heavy duty masking. I'm really glad I did it too.

huttman[TK]
Seems like a cool idea, however if you ever want to add something to it where velcro is involved, you wont be making a very good seal. not that important to me, im leaving it. my 2 credits
TK4205
I used a roll-on truck bed liner. Looks sharp. Makes a bucket more solid and doesn't "squeek" when you handle it.
Daetrin[Admin]
My bucket is minimalist, but I have to say the more I see these "finished" buckets, the more I want mine done the same way
Guest Bezerkus
That is the best inside of a bucket I've ever seen, next to this...
TK4205
I try to keep my bucket on. When it comes off and a fan looks inside, it enhances the "image" . I contemplated doing it up like the one in the visual dictionary, but it just doesn't seem practical. Again, thanks for the comliments. Daetrin[Admin]
Probably because the guy who made the vis dic never had to actually wear a helmet for 12 hours.
