  1. Just got Mike's stickers in today and they're fantastic. I loved how sticky they actually were because they were very secure, but easy enough to pull up to readjust if needed. My only problem was that they were sometimes too larger. My left tubestripe was too big and so was my left tear. Nevertheless, they look fantastic on the helmet and I'm very glad to have gotten them.
  2. cool, good to know. How can you tell?
  3. sorry, I haven't been able to do much while waiting for 4510's awesome decals so I've been working on other non-TK stuff. Once they get here I'll stick them on and replace the brow trim. The it will be aesthetically complete and I'll be able to move onto the inside
  4. That, subject verb disagreement ("there's 15 ducks on the pond"), and using adjectives instead of adverbs. seconded
  5. Got all of the handpainted stuff done, the hovi's installed, and the lenses are in. All it needs now are the decals, then I can put the brow trim back on, and then mesh behind the frown.
  6. I didn't actually strip the paint. I basically stripped everything else: lenses, cooling system, brow trim, frown mesh, aerators, etc. I ended up just painting over the previously handpainted detailing in the tears, traps, chin, ears, and frown, and now I'll have to just repaint some of those and add decals for the rest. I don't actually know the maker since I got it second hand.
  7. helmet looks pretty much the same. I had it finished before, but I decided to redo it so I stripped it and repainted white and all. Right now it's just got aerators, from and bottom neck trim in. I'll be jumping on a source for ESB decals soon, I need a rounded brush for the frown (thanks for the tip from your tutorial, 4510), I'll need new lenses, and I need to paint the ears to complete the outside. I'm working on a couple other things at the same time so this baby hasn't been getting all the attention that it deserves.
  8. I knew there was something I forgot!
  9. Cool, good to see all those reference pics! This is what I was using for reference
  10. I can stick up a brighter one tomorrow if need be. I just don't want to go any farther with the helmet if this is wrong
  11. do you foresee this incredibly kind gesture ever falling out of practice? I only ask because I know I've got a long road ahead of me for elite status
  12. yea I only watch the theatrical versions myself. My jaw dropped the first time I saw Hayden Christiansen standing there with his goofy sheepish grin
  13. Looks great. I actually like your Lewis better than the MG-34, but both are great.
  14. I would definitely have a BFG if I made a TD so it wouldn't really affect me either way, I was just curious. Thanks for the info
  15. are BFGs required for TD? I thought that was just for MEPD
  16. but that's just it. I don't see any arrow tip greeblies on that pic either. Am I missing something?
  17. so does SuperTroopers shots mean that no greeblies will be required?
  18. Those look to be exactly like the ones in the pic on the Elite Standards Page. If these aren't correct then that pic should be taken off to help avoid confusion
  19. I used krylon fusion satin black. It's a plastic bonding paint and it has stayed stuck to the inside of that bucket completely. I've ripped 3 kinds of glue off of it and a few different kinds of tape and it hasn't chipped at all. Only one coat too.
  20. I couldn't agree with you more. Weathering is always the hardest, most fun, and most rewarding of any project I ever do.
