1. If anyone would like to come and see the me or the armour I will be attending commicons throughout the summer. 20th 21st May Hannover 26th 27th 28th May London 3rd 4th June Swindon 24th 25th June Belfast These are the only ones planned at this stage. I would like to slip in New York in October and Tokyo in December. But we will see. I do have kids to see occasionally! I will be in Melbourne and Sydney this week so anyone can meet up with me then and I will have armour samples with me. I will be in Ecuador in a few weeks. Try to take a trip to Peru or Mexico. I have attached pictures of TK76101 who is the first of my new kits to be approved by the 501st. Anyone can also add me on Facebook and contact me directly as I always answer questions. There is a Facebook group TKUK TK Armour Support and Advice where all the new guys have been encouraged to join and share their build experiences. There are lots of experts in that group that can help you out.
2. Unfortunately your armor is sub par and definitely not fit for Basic Approval. For anyone interested in details please see this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40067-tkuk-armor-is-it-a-rippoff/ You pop up just long enough to encourage sales but give no information about lineage or source of your molds. I personally have seen your armor and documented with pictures exactly why it is sub-par and unfit. When my applicant asked for a refund, he was given one but he was then told to send that armor off to another customer in the US "to save on customs costs". How could any reputable manufacturer take a sub par product and then with no Quality Control Checking ask one customer to send their return product to a new paying customer? In short, you are evasive, your business practices are shady, and the product that I have seen personally is not of sufficient quality for application to the 501st. Any prospective 501st member should surely look elsewhere. A list of vetted armor makers can be found here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/
3. I totally agree with Joseph on this one. It would make it very easy for new people to go into the correct build thread and find a sub folder on their armor. There are many Anovos builds right now along with some others but there might not be many T/MC or MTK or RT-MOD and they ultimately get pushed many pages back. It would certainly make it easier. I also mentioned a few times within the last couple of years that maybe in the getting started threads also start sub-folders for armors there as well. So that way when someone wants to get info on RS or TKUK or AP or RWA then they can click on that sub folder where there are discussions on these. It would be a good way to keep armor specific info into one manageable folder instead of 20 different posts about each armor in the Hard Armor section.
4. In 6 weeks I have sent out 150 of these armour kits. Some have arrived, some are on their way and some are currently stuck in customs. So I guess in the very near future 150 people can speak out to answer the question in the title of this thread. TKUK armour is it a rip off? I will hold back until all armour kits have been received and any missing or broken parts issues have been resolved, I'm not perfect and nor is the postal service. Like I have mentioned before, here I am and you are free to chat to me if you wish. I have done most of the comiccons in the UK as a exhibitor so you are free to walk up to me and talk to me and have a look at the armour I am making. I am not hiding behind the internet wall. Most of the bigger garrisons know me by sight and by name. Many of the GML's and CO's of garrisons around the world have shared a nights drinking with me, and many of the garrisons have had a stand next to me at comiccons around the world. And many of you have that to come! Many of the people that have taken my armour kits will look to this forum for guidance and help. Just as I do. Please offer them constructive assistance as many of them are very new to this. And please offer me constructive assistance as you are far more experienced than I am and I want to hear how I can improve and make life easier for the many people that will be wearing my armour. In the process of clearing my backlog of 75 boxes to send out, I think I really annoyed local couriers. Then being invited into customs to explain what and why I am sending so many big boxes and why aren't they getting a cut of it, was certainly an interesting experience! But now that is past I know how to better handle it in the future! Now I have a little more free time to respond to any questions anyone may have. And I guess we will start to see lots of build threads as well!
5. I've had my experiences with that armor (good and bad.) and wrote a report about it here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40067-tkuk-armor-is-it-a-rippoff/?p=536916
6. I don't know exactly what you mean. TK Armour - or TKUK don't have any legion banner. But anyhow most of the makers tell you their armors were on 501st standards. That's crap. The 501st doesn't approve any makers, they only approve the wearers. The armor has to perfectly fit yourself. I recommend you to read these topics: Things To Consider Before Buying Armor The various types of armor and where to find them (including the list of vetted makers) Where, What and Whom To Avoid I hope you have a good start in the FISD - Welcome aboard and never hesitate to ask any questions!
7. I'm curious myself. TK Armour or TKUK has been called out as a recaster here before so I wanna make sure before I take the plunge. Here's a pic of his latest armor he posted on FB: -------- For a detailed look at his components, refer here: http://tkarmour.com/gallery.php?id=3 Would appreciate the views of the TK experts here on whether or not these are recast parts which would prevent 501st approval.
8. Moto liner in ANOVOS helmet.

Army issue in TKUK kit bucket.
Neither are TFA , but same can be done.
9. I'd hate to rain on your parade but I've seen threads about TKUK and the opinions are it's to be avoided. I'm no expert though, maybe someone else could have a look and shed a light...
10. So. According to the maker :TKUK. This is his sept 2015 version kit. That I got from him. And he's looking for advice. As to improve kit to get it approved . Thanks for advice on boots. I will look for new ones. After. I get. Armors finalized and approved. Looking forward to finally being part of the 501st here in Colorado
11. Just a bump on this topic. Got a non-member in Colorado attempting to redistribute/sell multiple kits from TKUK to our garrison as well as putting it out on Facebook.
12. Hi Paul, Thank you for your article. Could you please update your article concerning stormtroopercity.com? We did make a lot of efforts and had new molds made to be A New Hope screen-accurate.
