  5. Really comming along nice, the leg strips you were so worried about really came out nice!! Good job!!!
  6. yes you're a total wierdo, but it has nothing to do with the thigh (just kidding) Armor looks amazing. I'm jealous of all you little guys. I got black comming out all over the place cuz I'm tall.. :-(
  7. Now I get to start doing what I joined these boards for in the first place...to be a trooper helping other troopers. I have a few small ideas I did in my build that I'm going to post that made my life easier. Nothing ground breaking, but I think are some neat ideas. Now that I know they work, I'll be getting some things up soon!!!
  8. yes it's my 1st build. just over 2 months. Recieved my armor Aug 3rd, applied Oct 6th. Not too shabby.
  9. So I submitted my application, here's what I got back from my GML : "My apologies, I didn't realize that was you on the boards. As far as I am concerned, You pass with flying colors. I will mark your account to "ready for Duty" Great Job Ryan " YEA!!!
  10. There's a reason why everyone talks so highly of you Smitty. And this is it. Thanks for helping out.
  11. This was why I asked about it back when I did it. I was hoping it was good as is, but I'll get it fixed up ASAP --------- oh, and Thanks for the compliment Smitty :-)
  12. gotcha, will get that corrected...OH SMITTY!!!!
  13. shortening the drop box staps is easy, I though it was 6 t-tracks for the blaster?
  14. So, I'm finished, everything that needed to be fixed has been. I have a friend that does photography that's comming by some time this week to get my photos done for my application for the 501st, I'll post pics as soon as I have them. Only thing I need to do between now and then is get my neck seal done for my EIB application!! Just want to say thank you to all the guys here that have helped with suggestions, advice, and materials. Including, but not limited to Paul, Terrell, Smitty, Mike, Eugine. Everyone of you have been very helpful, and inspiring to me.
  15. Comming along really good. you're doing a great job!!
  16. oops how about this? http://video.ign.com/dor/articles/932209/c...ers_100109.html

  18. here's mine, the fronts are the correct width 7/8" I believe on the legs, but the back is 1.5" The backs of the arms are 3/4"
  19. I defer that question to those more qualified to answer. I will say this: it is your armor, you will be the one wearing it. Do what you feel is best, and what you will be happiest with. That being said Paul or Terrell, any of the vets here are always a good sounding board for opinions.
  20. Rusteolum high performance gloss white. the Ammo belt paint job didn't do too well first time around. so I had to sand it, and repaint. it's currently drying. But that's a simple 2 rivets to put back on. got all the snaps on the belt today, doing the butt plate straps now. only got the chest piece to ab plate straps, and the shoulder covers, then I should be 100% good, so either tonight, or tomorrow and I'll be done.
  21. I didn't strap the chest to the ab plate, was just going to strap it to the back, but now that you mention it, might just attach it to the ab plate.
  22. I had to take any return off them anyways, I think it depends on your size.
