  1. Yes! Win! I was going to do pictures of the left and right shots as well, if it will help anymore.
  2. Alright, with a little extra time at work, ForlonHope's diagram, some borrowed pictures and Photoshop, I have attempted to make a visual representation of what everyone has been arguing about. I hope this helps. You will notice the differences in the strips on the arms, the white stripes in the blue on the upper thigh and the top of the blue side of the shin is blue instead of white. The differences that you will notice here are that there are NO blue stripes on the back sides of the arms, NO blue stripe on the lower back, the White stripes in the blue on the upper thigh again and that the top of the blue on the shin goes all the way up here as well.
  3. These men are, dare I say "boldly going where no" trooper "has gone before"..... Uhh I probably should have not said it exactly that way. Do not shun me my brethren I speak only of respect and admiration in a potentially forbidden form of Irony.
  4. Actually, there are 2 AA holders using the 9v connectors to each of the fans. The 9v batteries you see are connected to my mic and voiceamp.
  5. 2 9v's would last a very long time. I originaly hooked mine to only one 9v and it gave it so much power that I could barely hear over the fans so I switched to these nifty little AA packs that connect using the connector for a 9v case I wanted to swap it out. If you look at the full size of the picture, you can see up close how they connect.
  6. What about placement, I am interested to see where you and others put their fans once inside the helmet.
  7. I just cannot get over how great their armor looks. That is why I like it so much!
  8. From what I have read so far, they are doing the finishing touches on the CG and Costumes and they are getting very close to begining the film. 2 suites of armor for the characters; Captain Argos and Lt. Rospin that where made for this Fan Film was in fact used in the movie Race to Witch Mountain.
  9. Yeah, I hijacked that pic of you and a few more from your post on MEPD forums. (sorry) I am just blown away by how amazing it all is. I love it, if I had the skillz and material I would have done the same thing now that I have seen this.
  10. Just wondering if anyone else has seen these. Is it just me, or is this armor amazing. I stumbled across these while checking up on our sandy borthers.
  11. Wrong! You are all wrong! The blast sounds where from the Stormtroopers firing on the rebels when they revealed themeselves! They where just knocked out preserving the armor so they could easily disguise themselves! Shortly after their escape they woke up and then knocked out again shortly thereafter and then jettisoned out an airlock while still alive because technically the rebels didn't kill them, the vacuum of space did! Clean conscious!
  12. This looks fantastic, I haven't had the time or courage to take the modding plunge. Everything looks great, I would probably have taken the ears in just ever so slightly more then this but either way, it looks great and I wouldn't risk cutting too much of by doing anything more. I like how you kept the original look of the MRCE teeth. When I mod mine, I expect it to look just like this. How did you manage to keep the original trim, from what I have heard it has been declared (imposible) to keep in tact. I would love nothing more then to mod mine with out having to repaint. Kudos.
  13. Whatever suit of armor you go with, I would always recommend against the FX helmet. As time goes by it will no longer be 501st approved, from what the Rumor Mill tells me. And from what I know, the thigh pieces on the FX are little bit shorter then more movie accurate suites such as AP, TE2 or TM. I am 6'1" and I am currently rockin' the FX with the MRCE, movie accurate aside, they do look nice together.... For an FX kit that is.
  14. I would go to great lengths to join! Now I just need to figure out how to get there and how much it would cost to get there from Salt Lake City Utah
  15. I would have no problem flying myself across the globe to be in the new TV series.
  16. I most certainly am. Not only would it make for some decent battle damage but it would be dare I say screen accurate battle damage haha.
  17. Haha all too true, he has a huge repository for TK extras that would even be willing to pay an entrance fee to be in a new movie! And with how far the Wild World of CG Star Wars has gone the big man GL on LFL campus might try and get away with making VII VIII and IX "The Clone Wars" Style. Either way I am getting tired of the clone era, lets get some one content surrounding the Holy Trilogy!
  18. I don't know anything about a new movie but Internet Movie Database has confirmed a "Untitled Star Wars TV Series". On top of this there is a RUMOR that a one Zac Effron is to play a young Han Solo, giving an idea of what time period this is to take place. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458291/
  19. What snaps do you use, the snaps I purchased at Home Depot where terrible, they pop open all of the time. I couldn't attach my belt to the torso with the snaps because the pull from the plastic would pop the snaps open within seconds of standing still. It created a huge snag in my progress and I haven't done much with my suite since then.
  20. You have made amazing progress! I am very impressed, like the rest I cannot wait to see it's completion.
  21. This is my solution to the hand plate problem. The Velcro soft loop side is hand sewn on to the back of my gloves. It works great.
  22. Very nice, you are making smooth and precise progress.
  23. Ha ha nice! Does that mean you are going to buy, build and ship a finished set of AP armor to someone who needs/wants it?
