  1. I got out one of the strips that came with my kit and began to measure, mark off, and cut two "23cm Strips". "23cm Strips" wide and 14 inches long. Before I cut the cover strips, I used a tape measure to measure the length of the shins so I can measure and mark off the length on the cover strips. To help with the cut I used a Metal Ruler to make a line allong the pencil marks and to help during the score and snap. After the strips were cut, I used the sanding sponge to smooth the edges.
  2. I repeated the steps on the other side of the shin.
  3. Next up I began to trim off the front of each side of the shin. I want to use "23cm" "Cover Strips", I will measure off "12.5cm" on both the left and right side of the shin. I used a pencil and made markings on the back of each side of the shin. I used a "Plastic Sign" to make a straight line through the marks. I also used "Blue Painters Tape" allong the line to help when cutting. I got out my Gloves and Utility Blade , and cutting mat and began to score and cut. After the cut, I used a sanding sponge to smooth the ends.
  4. AP Shin Redo. I am in the process of redoing my shins. I din this for two reasons. 1. I overlapped the shins the first time. 2. I used a tape adheasive instead of using E6000. After a while, when I was looking at my shins, I kept wanting to redo them by using glue. Everytime I got the bug in me it was in the Fall and Winter. With the cold and Christmas and everything with that I put it off. Also, I did not want to glue inside with the fumes from E6000. After I took a break with my Dummy Sterling build, I decided that it was late Spring and the weather is right to redo my shins. The first shin opened easy. After the Shin was Split apart, I started to remove the adheasive. I was pleased that the "adheasive" came off without any hassel.

  7. Hello Charlie, Do you have the armor kit already? Andy
  8. Like the others said.....Be Patient. I have an AP. My experiences with AP have been great! Andy
  9. Thanks, for the compliments! This week I would like to work on the "T Track" and the "connecting Wires" from the "Power Cylinders" to the "Counter". Andy
  10. Mathias, Thanks! I know that they are too long. I will be cutting the "rods" when I attach the wires from the "Counter" to the "Power Cylinders". Andy
  11. In case if no one has not viewed my "Dummy\Deactivated Sterling Build" http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=12056 Here is the finished results of my "Power Cylinder's with Capacitors Build." Andy
  12. What type of E11 are you building? Pipe, Deactivated Sterling, Doopy Doos,etc...? What look are you going for ANH, ESB, ROTJ? How accurate, Real Scope and Counter? Andy
  13. Congrats! Every time I look up Hengstler Counters on Ebay I can not find any. I type in Type 400, Eagle Counter, Metal Socket, Hengestler 400, etc.. My search comes up empty. I tray Ebay .uk, Ebay.eu and still none? Andy
  14. Lucas, Thanks! That is the plus with using the magnets.... I can adjust the area where the 'Power Cylinders" go! Andy
  15. After doing some touch ups on the front of the Counter and on the underside of the "Power Cylinders". I decided to assemble the pieces and see how it looks. I put the front plastic onto the counter and screwed it into place. I place the Counter into the Socket. I screwed the Counter back into place under the "Scope Rail" I placed the "Scope Rail" on the "Dummy\Deactivated Sterling" and locked it into place with the "Hex Bolt". I placed the two Magnets on the "Mag House" and set the "Power Cylinders" on top of the 2 Neodymium Magnets. I set the Counter on the Counter Holder and took some pictures to share. I place the "Dummy\Deactivated Sterling" on top of some "Ziplock Boxes" for holding the build in place for picture taking. How does it look so far?
  16. I saw a tip from a fellow trooper on "FISD\Whitearmor.net" of using 2 Neodymium Magnets 1 x 1/4 x1/16 to hold the "Power Cylinders" in place. I like this. In case if I am going to show my "Dummy Sterling" at an event, I ilike the idea of being able to remove the "Power Cylinders" for transport. I bought a set of two "Neodymium Magnets" for $ 4.98 US on Ebay. It came in a small box. I found out that they are strong and they hold strong. I have place a US Dime currency allong with a measuring tape for reference. Also, I placed the magnets on the Mag houser as reference as how the will be holding the 'Power Cylinders".
  17. Here are some pictures of the pieces after the painting. I will be doing some touchups on the front of the counter. I will retape the front and trim it out with a "Xacto Hobby Knife" and spray again.
  18. I used a wire hanger to place the Counter Socket and counter on while spraying. I held out the "hanger" and sprayed away. I did not get a chance to take a picture of spraying the counter and socket. So I took a picture of of it afterwards. I just placed the wire in the two holes of the plastic part of the counter and set it off to one side and place the wire into the hole of the counter holder and placed the wire through the front and back of the socket and set it on the other side. I did two coats. Left dry for two days and sprayed another two coats and let dry. The instructions on the can said to let dry for 2 hours then you can add on another coat. I let it sit for two days.
