  1. White leather is also a good option and a hell of an improvement over abs strips.
  2. I will second that. Signed up to the forum , always good to learn more/ the truth about props and their history.
  3. Talking of tall troopers, anyone know whats happened to Steve Tk4999? Not see any sign of him for a while.
  4. Thank you for your kind words and understanding.
  5. 23rd May '88 The day my mum died. Kind of a way to reclaim the numbers from being bad and commemorate her, if that does not sound too strange.
  6. Ditto. Even louder if you do the motorola speaker mod. OT . You using 9v or have you gone the 12v route Mark?
  7. If your shot wearing a bullet proof vest it will still knock you on your a very impolite person, same with being shot by a blaster in TK gear. It may not kill you but it will knock you for six. Thats my theory anyway, but it could be coz its just a film.
  8. Welcome brother See you at a Troop soon.
  9. In the past month I have met 3 newbies who have paid £1000 ( $2000) for FX kit on ebay
  10. Congrats mate. Look forward to trooping with you soon.

  15. These guys might be able to help: -------
  16. I have signed up and paid for one of the current batch of 50. Placed order in March and the ETA is approx 7-8 weeks from now. They may take a while but I have yet to see/hear a better product out there, and John takes care of his customers re emails etc.
  17. I would add that the reason for the depatures is not due to internal conflicts etc but due to an overwhelming workload. The UKG is the busiest garrison in the world , and the behind the scenes workload sadly reflects this.
  18. Yeah, there is a big back log at the moment. One of my mates has been waiting for 3 1/2 months to get her Tusken cleared, but the back log is now being dealt with . Trust me though mate, it will be well worth the wait.
  19. Not the one with the E11 in his hand, he's used to being on 2 wheels I assure you. Incidentaly, the guy filming it has now earned the nickname " Butthead" due to the huh huh huh huh you can hear from off camera.
  20. Ding ding ding. Spot on mate, we get pledge over here too and I "believe" they are almost identical in ingredients.
  21. Too much use of Novus can remove the top layer ( ie the UV protection) leading to yellowing. Once its been polished up I would recommend just using a house hold spray polish like Mr Sheene to keep it clean and shiney. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Sheen
  22. Wel, its painted and fitted. What do you all think? (please excuse the stae of my workdesk in the background )
  23. Its a high pressure job being a Trooper after all . http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7CPW5nk1Tm4
