  1. Curtis has my old one. Maybe he could post. I liked it alot.
  2. DONT DO IT!!!! That is a shucks helmet. The whole underside is crushed and the top is warped. Thats why you never see it from any other angles... A buddy bought one and regrets it badly. Seriously, he threw it in the trash. Also its not fiberglass, its resin and dirty resin at that.
  3. Yeah we'll use the glazing putty. But first a coat of primer
  4. Kent has decided on this style helmet for himself. I will do my best to make it happen buddy.
  5. Now I take it outside and give it a nice thick clean coat of primer. I will let this dry for a while and then we will start smoothin' her out. This is going to be a nice bucket. Thats all for today.
  6. I notice that the ears seem under trimmed as well, so I will address this issue. Its nice that things are under trimmed though, at least we can fix that easily
  7. Now its time to do a light wet sanding on the whole thing so I can primer it and sand out those runs that Kent was showing in his original post.
  8. I noticed that the cap is not full cut off the face plate either, so off she goes!!!..
  9. One of the first things I have to fix is the eyes... They are under trimmed and a bit of a loose pull. I take a pencil and mark where I think the trimming should be for an ANH helmet. Using a large x-acto knife I carefully trim along my lines that I drew. After I cut everything to shape I hit it with some 80 grit to smooth things out quickly.
  10. Its really not that bad of a bucket. Overpriced? YES....Bad quality? no.... Just needs a little TLC. I start off by stripping it down and tearing off the stickers...
  11. Just some reference pics of the helmet before I tear into it.
  12. OK, so here we go. I got the helmet today. We had some real serious import issues to resolve but we have cleared those. I wanna start off by saying that whoever sold this helmet to Kent should feel pretty sorry an impolite person right now. First he overpaid for the helmet, then had to ship it to me and then pay an import fee..... $630 so far. Sleep well...... Anyway lets begin!!!!
  13. gotta say it..... Looking very nice. Nicest CE yet!
  14. Over time ABS yellows anyway...
  15. I think so. You can use WD40 on stubborn scuffs sometimes too.
  16. good to know!
  17. They all fit with enough shims and some vasaline! I am 190 and 5'8". I can just squeeze into an AP with 1 inch shims at the abs. I wear a 38 waist too!!
  18. where are you getting ears???
  19. Soon I will be dissecting and rebuilding a Recastastic helmet for a guy here that got ripped on the bay. Stay tuned for the fun and bring beer and pop corn To bring yourself up to date, here is the original thread. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?show...amp;#entry44989 WE ARE GOING TO PIMP THIS BAD BOY Mike Brothers Donations: Nathan - "runriottt" Chris - "Smitty" Steve - "Amish Trooper"
  20. I have been asked to build an AP helmet for someone and make it an ESB version. In the following weeks I will be posting detailed pics of the build. SHOULD BE FUN!!!! Below are some reference shots of a screen used ESB helmet. We are going to be shooting for a clean version of this. The interior will be up to the owner, but I posted the pics here for fun Mike
  21. I get the feeling that getting into the archives is not that hard. I have heard several people talk about going for a a few years now. No offense to anyone, just seems common.
  22. You could mold the ears from the outside, then make a cast of that and then sculpt it back down to a vacuum formable size.
