  1. Wow, that is really awesome, and so accurate. Now we have the perfect TK to sneak after Jawa's small hiding places
  2. Haven't had time to install fans...
  3. True, its not riveted, its snapped
  4. TD has the following which a TK does not: - sniper knee plate - different ABS - backpack - pauldron - most importantly DIRT Check out mepd.net for more on the dirty brothers of the TK's.
  5. Deployment Officer, TK4878 requesting Elite Status: Btw, these pictures where taken from a wedding. Two (I was one) TK's provided "security detail" hence the tuxedo's in the background. Sorry I forgot my E-11, please reference my earlier progress thread for proof pics. Thanks!
  6. Al, I'll ping the admin team again.
  7. Or padding anything to create shielding between the two. Our resident Armorer can provide more perspective since his Bommar unit has built in shielding with a speaker that is inside the helmet and zero feedback.
  8. Jay, The mic and speakers are causing the feedback which is very common. Two options: 1. shield the mic/hovi's from the headset 2. external (from helmet) speaker
  9. Curtis, your armor looks so good in the avatar pics, I thought I was looking at one of those model kits! Awesome job! Anything you need to finish up for Elite Status?
  10. Gino, As we discussed, putting it all together is important and necessary. Its even better that we are gathering all parties related to the history to speak as well on the board real time. You should feel good in that we are reaching an entire new generation of people.
  11. Very cool, thanks for sharing.
  12. Rob, thanks for joining our little community and providing your armor history. I am also an owner of the RT-mod helmet and am very pleased with its quality and fit. Plus, it was a great purchasing experience with anyone considering purchasing his gear. See my pics in the deployment section
  13. Yes, thank you very much Paul.
  14. Oh now you tell me
  15. You are going for deployed than its under the belt for ANH style. Visit: whitearmor.net/requirements for more info.
  16. Gino, Will you post pics? Or if its better let's discuss pic viewing offline ([email protected])
  17. Yep, that's the vendor. Credit goes to SethB since I was so impressed with the stickers...
  18. Joey: correction, I started this thread by splitting off from an early thread. This thread was my idea.
  19. This bickering is pointless for too many reasons. However the armorers will stop the debate due to the following: 1. Anyone who sells anything has a reason to defend their goods 2. If you are an armor seller but don't wear the armor publicly and without charging for it (ala 501st) then see point #1 The intention of this thread is historical, not to debate whose mold is better or first. Frankly it doesn't matter anymore, seller will make up their mind based on what they want. Not for whose armor is closer to real. So Gino, Matt: Either provide history on your armor for the purpose of this exercise or stop replying to this thread. Period. I do not want to ask the Moderator team to clean up this thread, but if this senseless pickering continues this project will come to a hault. Agreed?
  20. This thread is not about who is right or wrong. This thread is about history. No one needs to feel defensive or attacked. Let's flesh out the armor history and then have multiple folks validate / confirm the lineage and history. Finally, remember for each version of the history (think Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), there should be multiple sources to corroborate the time line. But the essence should be the same.
  21. Don't I know it!
  22. I need to put the entire thing and take some quality pictures. Between work, home remodel and baby duty, the armor tub is sitting in the back of the garage. DOH!
