  1. Always great to have a 'master' in our presence.
  2. Adding to the thread, Novish polish does a really decent job. The lighter fluid ( and paint thinner) is good for those hard to clean spots. Especially when you have painting mishaps (which has been my recent nightmare). Thx, Ed
  3. Good point about the E-11.
  4. Great comments in keeping with movie accuracy. Keep them coming as we want the standards to be perfect. Thx, Ed
  5. Excellent, thanks.
  6. Great helmet, too bad that tropper "fell" into paint and dirt... Thx, Ed
  7. So a different question, but related. How big is your tub to carry all that stuff? Do you carry your armor in one tub and then a tool kit with the stuff (like deo)? Thx, Ed
  8. It is a great mod, I did it myself. At a trooping event I sat down, and two TK's looked at me in disbelief. Since we have a sewing machine expert I have to ask: My wife wants a sewing machine but I have no idea what to look for. Any suggestions on feature you got to have or not (etc) ? Thx, Ed
  9. I never really knew about the Legion until I attended C3. I ended up talking to folks with legion t-shirts and learned the story of the 501st and the FX armor. A few emails with doug and bang, I'm building a lifesize wearable model / costume. It has been quite and experience, fun, frustrating and I've learned more about customing than I thought possible. Its both a fun hobby and a realization of a dream to be "part" of the star wars universe. With the forthcoming 501st figure, TK's become our own toys! Thx, Ed
  10. So I wanted to start a thread and understand what spare equipment you typically carry with you. 1. Duct tape At one trooping event one of my ABS snap tabs broke loose. Another TK used two pieces of duct tape and I was ready to go. Not a permanent solution, but it did work until I got home. 2. Spare batteries On more than one event I'm run through my 9volt's spinning the fans the entire time. 3. Cell phone I installed a black pouch on my belt so I can carry a phone and the batteries for in troop events. Both are for emergencies. Thx, Ed
