Does anyone sell the black rubber gloves with silicone guards for ANH stunt that would be a decent match for AP Props version? AP no longer sells the silicone guards. I am going to need some new gloves for 2025 and prefer sticking with the rubber and silicone version not an ABS version if possible. A North American source would be ideal. Any ideas or do I need to switch to the ABS version? Thanks. Bart

Hmm, not great to hear that. Bart -

I'll take some time to check out alternate products before doing anything further with this one. Bart -
repeat failures of the icomm unit?
BAZINGA replied to BAZINGA's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
I did not attempt the mod. I don't think it would fix anything in my case. The last time it needed to have chips replaced so I am sure that is the same problem again. Bart -
Has anyone else experienced repeating failures of their icomm? I had to send mine away before I could even use it for repair and now it appears to have failed again doing the exact same thing. Only ticks. Two batteries have been tried and neither fixes it. I tested the batteries and they are both good. By the time I pay for shipping back and forth for another repair and another long delay I've almost paid for a whole new unit. And, I am not keen on another repair to have it fail a third time or buy a new one and have the same problems. Is there any other better option in North America that can ship to Canada in a timely fashion? I just want the static burst, I don't need fancy extras. Thanks. Bart

Congratulations Trooper! Bart

I did the warmest troop I've done yet this past July. It was 32C, no breeze, blue sky. I went four hours between being in the sun, under some shade and two short breaks for a snack and hydrate. Two fans going in the helmet but no cool packs. It takes a bit of time to work up to extended periods in the heat. Don't overdue it at first. Take plenty of breaks to get some water into you and cool down. Check in with your trooping buddies to make sure you are all doing ok. No one needs to play the hero and end up passing out. Have fun! That is the one I purchased and I just purchased the amp that is recommended on that same page. You'll enjoy it. So much better when interacting with people. Bart

Congratulations! You're going to have a blast! Bart

What Nairy said. The stormtrooper gets a lot of love. Lot's of people want photos, "just with the stormtrooper" and they always like to interact with the TK. Being a TK you always look cool no matter what you are doing and you can get away with doing a lot of things! Bart

I think I need a larger helmet
BAZINGA replied to Firemantrooper's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I have an AP kit and helmet and I have to wear glasses in the bucket too. So between the battery and the fans and glasses it is a bit of a performance to get it on and off however I manage it. I had to add padding in all sorts of places to keep my nose from rubbing against the inside and I had to adjust the top padding to get it to sit fairly decent on my head and let me see out the best I could. It's not pretty inside, but it will works and it is totally okay to go that route of padding in and out to get the fit feeling good. Bart -

Congrats on your first troop! Bart -
Are you selecting "display as link only" when you paste in the thread by chance? Bart
-
Lately I have had to right click my image in Imgur and just select "copy link" and paste here. Other methods that used to work either aren't listed anymore or hidden somewhere I have not found. Bart

V-Tabs for back and butt plate.

This is the one I used. Don't overthink this fix. It's pretty easy to do. So easy that even I managed it! Bart -

Congratulations! You're correct, we do know exactly how you feel! Bart -
OK, this donation is done now. Thanks. Bart

Ah, ok, I didn't realize there were two different fundraisers. I was thinking about the one on the 501st side. I'll get on this one too. Thanks. Bart
-
Was there something to do other than fill in the donation part and submit? I see it on my bank side that it went through, but either way it was done a month ago or so. Bart

I'm to chicken to get one, however I appreciate the artwork and talent that goes into one not to mention those braver than me who get one. Bart

I'm curious myself since I've never had to actually try and not sure I would want to. Bart

need to do a bit of painting on the boots
BAZINGA replied to BAZINGA's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
I was fully expecting to find something locally but no go. I could get scuff buffer but that won't do it. Bart -
As I read on the forum this seems to be the correct product but I want to make sure. I have just a bit of white worn off where the bottom of the shin had slipped down while walking and worn off a small area of paint. I figure I could just get something at the local shoe repair place to touch it up but no such luck. I think I could just paint this on with a brush in a few layers. Is there a better solution out there that I should be looking for? Angelus Acrylic Leather Paint : Amazon.ca: Home Bart
