Hello there from Texas!
MaskedVengeance replied to DarthSaiyan8697's topic in New Member Introductions
Nico's helmet is definitely the way to go. Not many Rogue One TKs here in the Legion, and just like the OT troopers, once complete you'll have a base suite of armor that can be converted into several variants. In your case, versions shown in recent Disney+ shows. -
Worry not, Seth! All of us had that "blue boxes" at one point. =) Self-dressing can definitely be challenging, and even now I need somebody to assist me with several things. Just keep chipping away, focusing on one item at a time. We'll get you approved here in no time!

I'm looking forward to following along on your build, Arturo! We're all here to help you on your journey! -
Welcome, Andrew! Definitely a lot of troopers in the California garrisons. Any chance we could convince you to build a stormtrooper?

Excellent submission, with great attention to detail, and quite quickly after your EIB approval! I especially love the tube strip pencil measurement, cover strip alignment on your arms, and the placement of your belt just barely touching the bottom ab button. You've also gone fantastic with drop box alignment at the end of your plastic belt, belt button covers located non-centered and closer to the end of the belt, and clean trimming off of the return edges on the front of your forearms! Just a couple notes before the DOs get here. It's possible they may ask that additional paint be removed from your frown, where a little bit appears to still be on the gums. And, as mentioned in your AI app, your thermal detonator is still riding a little bit high. This should be a quick fix by simply pending your belt clips a bit. The goal should be for the profile of the thermal detonator to fit within the boundary of the belt. See the photo below from Chemi on your EI thread. In case you want any additional screen reference for thermal detonator placement, see my own THREAD HERE. Note that, while some detonators are raised, the vast majority are situated lower. You may also want to add a link to your EI application at the top of this Centurion submission. I'm sure you'll be approved in short order!

Hello there! My ESB straps from Darman’s Props are 11” (28cm) long and a little more than 3/4” wide (right at 2cm). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello there from Seattle!
MaskedVengeance replied to LordUzkost66's topic in New Member Introductions
Welcome Kira! Seattle-born myself, though haven’t spend a lot of time there over the years. Looks like other troopers have you set with some pretty good resources, and I think the two that Joseph recently posted will be an excellent place to start. Once you’ve decided on your specific trooper character/type, and selected an armor vendor, check out this thread for a laundry list of resources for assembly. =) https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/49412-all-in-one-tk-anh-stunt-index-of-resources-by-maskedvengeance/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Super impressive on all fronts, Marissa! Welcome to the shiny white club! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Welcome back! Exciting times indeed! A lot of us get our holsters from Darman (Etsy or his website), and I’d go with his heavier weight leather option. Boots are commonly acquired from Keep Trooping (formerly known as Imperial Boots). Be advised that they take orders in monthly waves. Pauldrons can easily be acquired from Trooperbay or our own Teresa (Geeky Pink), though my orange one is from trooper1 on MEPD. There are direct links to most of these purchase sources at the very bottom of the initial resources post that Glen shared. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

HOW TO: Remove Bifurcated Split Rivets
MaskedVengeance replied to Pyrates's topic in Tutorials, Tips and HOWTOs
Absolutely. I hadn’t ever seen this post, but this is the exact method I used to redo my cod/posterior rivet. I’ll have to reference this when I get around to finishing my build thread. [emoji23] I’ll get this added to the reference thread! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hi David! If you decide to pull off your shin front cover strips, it is acceptable for there to be a visible ridge (or shoulders as you describe them) on either side from pulling the armor out. Just be sure that you add in a rear/inside strip to ensure proper adhesion. You could also consider utilizing wider cover strips on the back for your thighs, as you mention, which should give you some extra wiggle room. You may just need to create a backer plate to fill in part of the gap of the raised ridge at the top, depending on what type of mobility cuts you do. Here are some reference photos of the screen used suit from RS, all found from the FISD Gallery. And while those images doen't really show it, the extra surface and ridge that is prominent at the top of the shin, has also existed at the bottom and even the middle of leg pieces as well, so you really should be fine in pulling out the pieces a bit.

Congrats Erik; you look great for your first kit-up, and it’s awesome to see that you’ve already identified those adjustments you mentioned! Just a quick question: how tall are you? I ask in regards to the ab/chest overlap you mentioned. I can’t help but wonder if you can either raise your ab or lower the chest, or if heat forming would really be necessary. Once again, looking good, sir! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yup to your second comment. The fix that Joseph suggested is to essentially glue the straps (particularly the little bits between the rivets and the seam edge) to the armor. That will help eliminate movement which can sometimes cause the gaps to increase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You might be able to get some E-6000 with a fine tip dispenser that you can get down under the straps to avoid having to remove them completely. Or worst case just remove one side and see if that gives you enough access. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another +1 for Keep Trooping. I normally wear a US 11/11.5 and ordered a size 12 from them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
It’s great to see and welcome you back, brother. Don’t push yourself on the 7 days a week thing though. [emoji6] I already know you’re gonna be up doing your thing at 3 or 4am before the rest of us even think about waking up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
