  1. Yes, you’ll find there are CRLs for all three of the original trilogy Stormtroopers, they have their differences though, so keep that in mind when picking one.
  2. I remember seeing a thread about this, Dave is the new vendor for AM armor, vetted and reliable.
  3. Is that...a double chestplate? Among many other issues
  4. For mine I glued them together first and then glued some elastic to the belt and the back of the packs to get the distance right. Not sure if that’s how others did it.
  5. As @gmrhodes13 said, it’s always safe to double snap everything, especially those parts that you want to stay together for a long time. (Chest, back, abs, etc.) Here’s a useful topic if you’re unsure how to set snaps properly:
  6. You may be trying to use the link to the album/folder instead of the individual picture. You’d click “Insert other media” then “Insert image from URL.” Now make sure you either right click if on PC, or hold down on the photo and hit “copy link” if on phone. Hope this helps!
  7. I also got mine in a May 4th sale! What a coincidence seems like around the release of new movies or especially May 4th would be the best time to buy.
  8. All good! I’m actually noticing that the straight connectors aren’t having issues, it’s only the 90 degree one that swings back and forth. I’ll just purchase a straight splitter and see if that helps it.
  9. I have TrooperTalk with an Aker 1506 amp and the accompanying mic. I’m very pleased with the way it sounds, except that whenever I move in my armor it makes little pops and cracks. I think this is due to the headphone jack moving around in the socket. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep it secured in place?
  10. Hey cadet! Unfortunately armor doesn’t come cheap in most cases. Depending on who you buy from and what materials you already own (snaps, tools etc.) you may spend anywhere from $600 to over a thousand. It’s a big investment but well worth it, probably the best purchase I’ve ever made in my life Do some forum trawling to get started, find who you can trust and who you can’t. Look at supply lists people have put together and check how much you own versus what you need. Ask lots of questions and finally, order the kit! We’ll be here to help the whole way!
  11. As if! We could maybe do The Robot and that’s about it for movement
  12. A little extra support never hurt anybody, as long as you’ve got a little extra to use. Looking good so far!
  13. After being introduced to the 501st at a comic-con last summer, it’s taken me just over a year to get everything in order and finally be a part of this legion; and I am so proud to be here! Can’t wait to start trooping and work towards EIB!
  14. Thank you! That makes sense, I should have guessed that in order to be a “Newly admitted member” I’d have to request member status first
  15. Hello, I was just a day or two ago admitted into the 501st, but I can't create a topic in the Newly Approved Members section, am I doing something wrong? Thanks
  16. Update: I was just approved for basic membership! Waiting on my TKID now! Thank you all for your tips, pointers, and overall help, I owe you one!
  17. "These blaster marks are too accurate for Sand People...but FAR too accurate for Imperial Stormtroopers!" ~Ben Kenobi, A New Hope
  18. That’s very useful, thank you! The thighs have been the biggest pain in the neck since the start. One more downsize should hopefully set them right.
  19. Could I get some advice on this? Thanks!
  20. Another update on my armor! Don’t mind the tape or belt, that’s already going to be addressed. I also plan to tighten up my right thigh and add some extra straps to my kidney-ab attachment to push it in farther.
  21. You make some good points... my straps may be falling off because I had some elastic between the two female parts and that was it. The snap was the only thing glued to the armor. I also use E-6000, I think using ABS like you suggested will fix it.
  22. The only reason I’d go with Velcro is because my snap attachments are so hard to get apart that the female side glued to the armor comes off. Plus with Velcro I can adjust the gap if need be much quicker than with snaps.
  23. Is there some sort of requirement that the strapping be done using snaps? Most of my armor is snaps but I find industrial strength Velcro works just as well. Can I use that for attaching the arms and such?
  24. What color does the TD need to be painted? Same gray as the helmet traps?
