  1. Yeah that looks extremely thick. It should follow the contour of the brow ridge. Mine is ANH stunt, but a fairly consistent 9-10mm ridge. You can check out the hero helmet reference in the gallery here:
  2. Me too LOL
  3. Yeah you'll need to tidy up the buttons. Ideally they're not completely painted and show some white on the button itself.
  4. Scout Trooper is cool, and on my short list (don't tell my wife).
  5. Thanks everyone. So many of you helped out, so if I forget anyone, sorry and thanks! @Bud Spaklur @gmrhodes13 @ukswrath @wook1138 @justjoseph63 @Twosolitudes @68Brick
  6. Welcome! Looks like you're starting like so many of us did: "I want to be a Stormtrooper. Now what?" To get it right, you'll be building the suit. The ready-to-wear "costumes" just are not the same quality, accuracy, etc. and really don't save you that much. Decide WHICH Stormtrooper you want to be. Old school original trilogy? Clone? First Order? Also, let us know where you're based so we can help with local suppliers and you'll get answers from others in your area. This community is FULL of helpful people ready to answer any and all questions for you. We've all been down this path. It can be overwhelming, so ask LOTS of questions and we'll be glad to help you on your journey.
  7. I thought about that as well. It's not easily reached when you're suited up, so whatever is in there would only be accessible before/after the troop. I glued mine on for security as I was also worried about wear over time and the cap falling off and everything coming out. I'm going to play with some storage ideas in my chest/back instead.
  8. More more more!
  9. Belt looks a bit long too. They got me on that one LOL.
  10. Yeah but it's a steel rivet so.... maybe I'll paint a mini Threepio face on it LOL
  11. Brassed out the rivet and got rid of the bubble!
  12. As requested: Thanks! I'll see what I can do about the cod rivet. Making it brassy will be fun.
  13. Are the T strips on the blaster weathered? Could just be a trick of the light but they should be flat black with no weathering. That's all my amateur eye sees. Nice job and good luck!
  14. Welcome aboard! Go live your dream.
  15. It's more the fan itself that makes the noise, even unmounted. I've got something cooking and I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks all for the input.
  16. Edited the title of my thread - Sorry if there was any confusion.
  17. And square corners on the cutouts for the ab buttons as opposed to rounded.
  18. Perfect, and totally in character. I played paintball quite a bit pre-kids and had issues with fogging, so I'm trying to err on the side of caution when trooping.
  19. I'd be contacting Sheartech. None of the ones on there are missing triggers
  20. Quick prototype. I will hook up a tube/straw to the opening to direct the air:
