  1. That makes alot of sense- we know they had similar set up on the vader helmet albeit a little more complex, but if that tooth were cut it would help his vision a little.
  2. Wow it is an exciting feeling facing your first build - enjoy it and make sure you keep us all up to speed with pics!
  3. Good question!!!! Now what happened to you at the weekend ? Everyone was a little concerned when we didn't see you.
  4. As above I am also lucky enough to own a set of TM and agree with Billy's analogie!! TM is just the most amazing armour and is one of the nicest people to do business with!
  5. Could you please enable 501st status. http://www.501stlegion.org/members/display...php?userID=9462
  6. A friend of mine supplys excellent ab buttons that are the correct size and colour- He does post on these boards every now and then his TK 2233 name of Chris-
  7. I have to say I would have thought the EFX a little heavy for trooping, especially if you were to add fans or any other helmet mods. You would be better advised displaying the EFX and perhaps trying to source a more practical trooping helmet. Just my thoughts.
  8. It was a great night and Sam has been embarrassed about that all day!!! I love those pics they are so cool- Sam took about 300 which will be on my flicker site in the next couple of days, I will of course post a link.
  9. Well done mate- nice seeing you last night!
  10. Ok- so Chris (TK2233) and Nik (TK3883)have been helping me this evening, and as it has turned out we haven't had to trim at all yet! We have adjusted the way the armour sits and removed some of the padding which has meant the armour sits much better and is much more comfortable! I may need to raise the height of the cut at the heel only a little, just to allow the foot a little more flexibility but it will be a mini tweek in comparrison to what I suspected we may have to do. It is a good lesson as really you cannot judge properly yourself what needs doing you really need another set(s) of eyes to see where the problems are. I'll let you know how it turns out as I'm trooping the next two days!
  11. Thanks guys. Chris C is visiting this evening we'll have a look at our options.
  12. The shape is fine , just too long! I'll watch the movie again and see if I can pause some shots for a better look.
  13. I have an extremely nice set of TM armour which I love! I trooped it for the first time this weekend and on the whole, although a very different trooping experience to my old FX, I got the hang of it fairly easily. There are a few minor adjustments here and there but all the usual kind of things you would expect when fine tuning your armour for trooping. That is with the exception of one thing. It has been duly noted by those in the UKG that, although not the shortest, I am certainly not a tall trooper! I have trimmed the bottom of the calves as they were too long and think I may need to take a little more off, but I'm also considering cutting out a little behind the knee from the bottom of the thigh and the top of the calf armour as some troopers in ANH did have this mod. Basically I'm wondering what people think of this? Has anyone else done it, is there a correct way to do it as far as shape of the cut goes? I would assume they did this on the screen used ones for ease of movement so it seems it may be the answer for me. I figured I'd see what you guys thought- Thanks!
  14. Paul it was so great to meet you and your son Luke! He looked completeley amazing and deservedly stole all the limelight!! I couldn't believe I wasn't in my armour that you built and I debuted this weekend when I ran into you. I love your armour- it is the closest, in my opinion, you can get to the real deal, it never stoped getting attention from my fellow UKG troopers! I look forward to seeing you and Luke at an event soon!
  15. That would explain alot and does make rather alot of sense!
  16. Looking good but definitely agree on raising the belt- I have mine so it the top of the belt is just under the Ab buttons.
  17. Paul there really isn't anything you don't know!!!! I hear you will be at Mem sir when I debut my new armour - I hope you approve.
  18. If you get stuck email me- you can ship it here.
  19. I have stitched industrial velcro on the top of the boot and on the inside of the shin armor and that stops that from happening, I also have a soft part of the velcro on the back to stop the armour rubbing on the boot.
  20. Presumably these are a fashion item, if that is the case it won't be long before someone else decides to produce similar to compete with luck.
  21. -------- It's in North London, if they don't have it it doesn't exist!!!!
