Morning all, Spent the day on my build yesterday. Started with lots of sanding to get the parts looking nice. Then moved on to the belt, knee amok pack and the strapping. Also had a wonderful delivery yesterday. Updates on this will be in my E-11 thread: Cheers. Dan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CableGuy's DoopyDoos (feat. T-Jay kit) ANH E-11 WIP
CableGuy replied to CableGuy's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
Hehe. Yeah, bank holiday weekend here in the U.K. 3-day weekend!! (Well, 4 for me as I had today as holiday). I might get some time to start. I spent most of the day on my armour. Lots of sanding and fitting the strapping. I'll go over a few more builds, (namely yours, CTID's, Chris aka themaninthesuitcase and the reference PDF that you produced) before going to far. The moulds looks sharp though. Not that I much experience to base that on. ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Helmet padding options
CableGuy replied to bmth chris's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
I've not trooped in mine yet, but the flexible padding option feels comfortable to me. I played with the positioning to stop lid wobble when looking around, specifically down. I've got the foam star in my other lid but I find I can't see out that well if I move in certain ways as my eyes then don't line up. I've also lined my lid with black, self adhesive EVA sheets. I've seen at least one person glue their trim. Personally, I've not had to as the trim just wedged into place. I'd imagine a little E-6000 would be okay. At least then it's removable if required. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, Nearly finished both arms now. To get over the magnet pulling issue that I had with the right forearm (post #33), I used an off cut 15mm cover strip and taped it inside the forearm. This kept the magnets flat when holding the top cover strip in place. Seems to have worked a lot better. To get the shape I need for my skinny wrists, the underside cover strip will pull the upper and lower forearm parts together. Should make sense when I post the finished pictures. | [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CableGuy's DoopyDoos (feat. T-Jay kit) ANH E-11 WIP

Hi Tony. Just near London. Sorry to hear that you're still waiting. Have you emailed them? Dan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Iām joining the 501st and aiming for Centurion both selfishly and selflessly. Selfishly, Iāve always dreamed of being a TK and portray this iconic character. Selflessly, as I age I see more of the people around me affected by lifeās struggles - this is my chance to give back. :-) (Btw, happy not to win as I already have the parts - just wanted to share with the community) [emoji1]

### UPDATE 03/02/2018 - for any new readers, (spoiler alert), this blaster is now complete. There is a link to my āhighlightsā video below; Happy reading. āāāāāāāāāāā Hi all, Excitedly received news today that my DoopyDoos E-11 kit has been dispatched. Ordered on July 28th so under a month. The team kept me up to date and advised that the moulds they had were past their best - as such, these new moulds will hopefully lead to a crisp and detailed moulding. I've had T-Jay's completion kit for a couple of weeks now and look forward to starting my build. I've seen some outstanding builds posted on here but will be going a little more straight forward for my first build. I still want to create a lovely looking blaster but not sure mine will be quite as fancy as some. :-) Might not be starting straight away as I am in the middle of my armour build (below): Can't wait to start. All the best, Dan :-)

Hi there, Personally, I'd stay well clear of that kit. It looks a long way from screen accurate. Check out this thread regarding armour makers. The various types of armor and where to find them https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=44557&share_tid=11538&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ewhitearmor%2Enet%2Fforum%2Findex%2Ephp%3F%2Ftopic%2F11538-The-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them&share_type=t Regards, Dan :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mat's ANH stunt TM 2mm ABS
CableGuy replied to ozzytrooper's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hi Mat, Great pictures! If I could just give a little feedback, it looks like your belt is not attached to your armour in your pics - as such, it's sitting a few inches lower than it should. Love the daleks. :-) -
Hi all, So, I've started fitting and gluing. I made a start by cutting all of the required cover strips. With the overwatch of my UKG armourers, I marked up the forearms. Unfortunately, the size of my magnets pulled the butt joint out by a mil or two. In the end, the overall look is okay. Last night I fitted the rear cover strip. Mutant Models TK Armor
CableGuy replied to PropReplicator2's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Without sounding too blunt, that looks quite rough. [emoji51] For example, it looks like what should be cover strips are moulded in to the limbs. The helmet is certainly far from accurate. The rest looks too 'square/sharp'. Maybe check out the threads on here about vetted vendors. Could save you a lot of cash and frustration down the line. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hi Mike, I did exactly the same with my first lid. A lot of the colour charts available still show gloss rather than satin. Easy fix though. Build is looking good. :-) Dan

Hi all, Did some work on removing the return edge from the wrists tonight. Started with the Dremel and finished off with hand files. Also, had some new pads arrive for my lid. Much better fit - no more wobbling when I look up and down. As always, more updates to follow. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, Got a surprising amount done last night. Trimmed the arms and shins, plus a little tweaking of the other parts I trimmed yesterday. I've still got to do some sanding as there a quite a few flared edges in places, (example on bicep, marked with a red line). I also couldn't resist a few sunset photos of my lid last night. #iPhoneNoFilter :-) More to follow. :-) Dan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Welcome aboard... :-)

Thanks, Brad. I'll try old school sanding before I fire up the Dremel. I got a bit further this evening. Only used lexans on these bits so will go back over them with sand paper to finish of some of the edges. Nb, shoulder bell on left of shot is not yet trimmed. Hi all. Although I'll start a blaster build thread separately, interesting news on the DoopyDoos E-11 front. Apparently, their E-11 moulds had died so they have created brand new moulds. Hopefully that's a good thing for me - hoping that the brand new moulds will be nice and detailed. Due to be dispatched around the middle of this week. Can't wait!!!
