Lined my tote as I have a troop that I have a fairly long drive to coming up and I wanted to keep everything fairly shiney.
I started with a twin size mattress pad/cover and cut all the elastic from it that keeps it on the mattress
I than draped the mattress pad like a "U" covering the back, bottom and front of the tote and cut to size.
Next I stitched the sides that I cut so that the pad would stay together and not unravel
Next I laid the pad over the fabric I choose, folded the fabric over the pad and pinned in place
I did this on all four sides
With it pinned I was ready to sew!
Put the good side up and begin to stitch my fabric to the pad
When I got to a corner I simply made sure the needle was down, raised the foot, turned the fabric and put the foot back down
and the final result
I repeated for the cutting and sewing for the sides. The sides just hand down and are not attached to the other fabric part.
Once I had everything sewed I clamped the pieces to the top of the bin to determine where to put my pop snaps at
I did four snaps on the back and front and two on each side. I super glued the male snaps directly to the tote, and lined up where I need to put the holes in the fabric.
Very pleased with how it all came together!

Update on Centurion approval:
Only one minor correction necessary:
Darn left drop box did not stay aligned.
Added some additional E6000 behind the drop box to keep it in place as well as more on the elastic behind the belt. Clamped and drying.

OK, Jeff.. FANTASTIC job on taking care of the issues from your EI application! Just one last thing and we can get you level 3, brother... I noticed that your left drop box needs to be aligned with the edge of your ammo belt. Please post up a new pic of that so we can get that Centurion badge under your name!

Easy fix!
Added some extra glue to the elastic and box strap behind the box and behind the belt. Clamped and should have a new picture for you tonight

Time and patience does wonders! First time builder or a veteran doesn't change the fact that you have to sand multiple times and apply coats.
Great work!

Looks like mostly that's all bottom return edge if I see the picture correctly. Or are you aiming for the moon cut?

great work keep up the sanding and it will be seamless! A bit of ABS paint will go along way as well. Essentially its just very thin ABS paste mixure

It is a "special" kind of pain...
You can angle the sniper plate forward slightly to get rid of that special kind of pain.
Move the knee forward a bit along the lines and give it a slight angle

I'm in Columbus Ohio so if your heading this way might as well pick me up and we can all enjoy some cheese steaks and chit chat about chatter

Great work so far Mason. Not sure if you plan on going to higher levels of approval. A real easy fix is your drop boxes lining with the ends of the belt.
I'm not sure if it is just how it is laying flat but a real easy fix is a bit of glue on the back will force them into the right position.

Hope that picture is more clear. I couldn't think of a better way to show they are the v-head without taking them out. Let me know if anything else is needed Joseph!!

We got your back trooper!
Any thoughts on how you will connect the back, kidney and butt together? ie snaps, brackets or Velcro?

Looks great! I would just lose the big tab on the ends of shoulder bridges.
Good Luck!
I thought about it but i was concerned my straps would look too short than for my frame

I started with a 15 second count and went up to 30 if needed.
Run under cold water to set the shape quickly brother than hold in place

Very interesting process. Love the ingenuity!
My one thought would be if you run wires for mic or speakers up through neckseal too close to the magnets may cause some interference.
Just a thought and something may need some trial on. It may just be a run the wires up one side of neck away from the magnets

Thank you! Its definitely been in there for a week or so now. I finally got around to posting the work pics. So far no bleed. I'm going to give the liner a wash just to ensure it sets the color though.
