  1. As per CRL dome head is allowed at highest level. Clips shall be attached with slotted type, flat or dome top style screws, and be black (two per clip). Here´s some reference.
  2. Hey Thomas Here’s how the CRL is meant to be read: Basic approval - the text in black and visual guide (CRL and official reference) need to be met. Expert Infantry - the blue and black text combined with visual reference need to be met. Centurion - the red and blue and black text combined with visual reference need to be met. In other words, for Centurion the entire CRL needs to be met. And as others have mentioned, the written text is only one part of the approval process: Text descriptions are only one part of the guideline. GML's and costumers must consider both text and pictures (CRL and Reference) when reviewing the costume. Hope that helps to explain it
  3. Send in your application already! Meaning - you are good to go
  4. Welcome to FISD Tanner Depending on the amount of weathering you’re talking about it sure is allowed to have a ”battle worn” TK Here’s an example of what can be done and still Centurion (highest level) approved - good luck
  5. Nice work
  6. You can of course just ad a plastic tab for the ”Anovos-method”
  7. Too bad if they changed the mold, here’s how I did my second set of KB spats, did the usual greeble closure (screen accurate) on the first set and it broke. Did Anovos style this time around and works a treat
  8. Nice work Just make sure the velcro is hidden (Back view, side gap is fine) when the shin is fully closed. A suggestion would be to use the velcro in full lenght, makes it less obvious. I would also trim the bottom of the shins so they match a bit more inner/outer half
  9. Should be good, if it’s not you can just cover it for approval purposes and then Troop away
  10. I’m not familiar with the Blast FX kit, would you mind post a pic what it looks like and I can give better advise, if I were to guess I think it will be fine though as the CRL states working lights and front torch
  11. You are clear to proceed (I’m guessing what appears to be burnmarks won’t be visible?)
  12. DOT (you find them on eBay) are marine grade snaps and an excellent choice as well
  13. Sorry to make this a discussion but, I’m a GML and if I noticed straps this wide I would not approve it. L3 should never approve it either as it’s supposed to be about higher screen accuracy, unless something has changed from when I was D.O then it’s my bad. For basic I would however not. Your GML might feel different and let it slide so I suggest you touch base with him/her just in case
  14. Perhaps you can cut them down some, unless they frey too bad. It doesn’t need to be exact too the mm.
  15. How wide are those straps? They should be 1”.
  16. Good luck!
  17. I only use the upper, per movie suits, as you really don’t need one below, the belt holds that in
  18. The majority of StuntTroopers (most likely all) did not have those ”gaps” filled in. The exception in below images is probably a Sandtrooper. Your helmets is approvable to Centurion regarding the frown (as long as there’s no paint on the gums, center tooth seem to be a close call).
  19. In fact to stay true to the Movie-Troopers the biceps should be small They should be loose enough to move freely up and down on the arm though. I would remove all the planned return edge before any final trimming, like you said it might be too loose if removing more later and possibly bigger than necessary. Keeping the bicep snug will also help in getting the shoulder bells closer to the chest/back.
  20. Hi and welcome to FISD. If it were me I would get the armor from RS (they have a nice sale going on right now) and the helmet from AP - good luck
  21. Sure you can, just some painting like Joseph mentioned and you’re set
