  1. You got this Stefan! Looks like you used E6000 right? Then it`s an easy fix to remove the inner strip in the back, resize, cut and glue Disclaimer: I never use E6000, only zap-a-gap and plastic weld so my advise is based on what others have stated regarding E6000
  2. Perhaps taper it some more (tape it up and check again). Yeah, I dont see it, cover strips are supposed to end at the raised edge (thighs /front and back, shins/back) if that was your concern - all looks good. Only comfort and in my opinion you should try to avoid it, doesn`t look good (just my opinion) even though they did it in the Movie on some suits and it`s still Centurion approvable. So it`s up to you. In the Words of Vader: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....did you remove all the return edge from top of thighs? If so I would only cut from the top seeing as you don`t need to recreate the return (unless you want to) BUT not before I really really have to!! These things don`t provide great mobility or comfort (if you want it to look the best in my opinion). I write "in my opinion" alot but that`s just to point out that it`s just a suggestion and not something you`ll have to do for approval. This look is what my suggestions are based on: except the "malfunction" of twisted sniper knees this is how I think it should look and how I tried to do it, with minimal black showing. At 202 Lbs I´m bigger then the "ideal" size so one have to work with what one got and to ones liking ( I reached Centurion without issues so I think I did good "patting my own back")
  3. I don`see the difference? But no worries, I don`t think you are a very impolite person
  4. Have you got strapping for your thighs? First get them as high as you want them...the higher the better in my opinion (just my opinion) and see how that works and then tackle the shins and see how they work together, from the looks of it you should do just fine I noticed that there`s less "knee-gap" on the right leg but since the left looks spot on it shouldn`t be to difficult to fix
  5. Looks fine to cut like that I would however advise you not to cut intill you finished and then do "trial runs" to see if it`s really necessary, as you said you won`t be playing football in it And don`t get me wrong there`s nothing wrong in cutting like you suggest, they did in the Movie så all good there to...It`s just personal preference on my part, I like to keep the black showing to a minimal and not that bothered about mobility as long as I can walk and not looking lika a penguin Here`s a short video of me Walking, I know really exciting but perhaps it can give you an idea of what to expect I`m 5.10 by the way and didn`t trim any lenght-wise.
  6. I´m no shim-expert but my advise is to keep the seem slightly off-center towards the ab-section, pics are from my Centurion-app for reference. I didn`t need to shim so I guess that`s were the seem is supposed to be As for return edge - there`s no requriment for it but if you can pull it of then in my opinion I think you should go for it.
  7. Great work
  8. This is what I use https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lunatic-Premium-Helmet-Bag-Soft-Pile-Lining-Black/292009149888?hash=item43fd1a05c0:g:15UAAOSw-0xYh6DE
  9. That looks super-nice! Easy approval And I see the Centurion badge around the corner - Beautiful work
  10. Carry on with your Imperial business
  11. Practically neigbours
  12. Congrats on BBB-day and sweet collection of helmets and guards flanking them Great that you are aiming for Centurion - be all you can be Trooper
  13. Well I don`t know how far a part you live but I think it would be cool if you teamed up and had your first troop together you`re already brothers in arms
  14. Hey! are you guys just the same person with two build-threads??!!
  15. Perfect
  16. It`s not a race, but it`s kinda funny you both work on the same piece
  17. Perfect match (the RS suit)
  18. You guys work on the same bits, I´ll just copy and paste
  19. They won`t help against scratches but they help getting it on the belt especially if one likes to be able to dress without a handler (like me) you could try and sand the edges as smooth as possible but I didn`t bother since it won`t show when wearing the belt...and you always do
  20. I´ll copy what I just wrote Sean That looks great to Did you make these little bends at the ends? Helps sliding it on the belt.
  21. What size cover strip do you need to cover the raised edges? If I were you and I didn`t "have to go bigger" I would use slightly bigger for the thighs 22-23 and 20 for front of shins. Back of shins should never be smaller than 25 otherwise it might get tricky to hide the seem. And it`s also how they did it in the movie
  22. That looks great to Did you make these ittle bends att the ends? Helps sliding it on the belt. But if I may...don`t use velcro, just doesn`t look right does it yes you probably will get scratches but unless you pound on the TD on the belt thats all you will end up with...and it won`t show anyways - but Hey! that`s just my opinion
