  1. I'm also doing similar with the shins. I will post a video soon.
  2. magnets on both sides. I tried metal clips first, but they wouldn't line up and lock in place.
  3. Just lengthen your clips. The TD hides it anyway.
  4. http://www.tested.com/art/makers/522954-force-awakens-stormtrooper-armor-anovos/ I'm not sure what this guy means, but I couldn't find any license info when I was digging. But I'm confused now. I thought the kit was 501st exclusive?
  5. Wrong link! I updated with the right one. http://boards.theforce.net/threads/anovos-is-setting-the-bar-for-star-wars-cosplay.50020207/
  6. http://boards.theforce.net/threads/anovos-is-setting-the-bar-for-star-wars-cosplay.50020207/ This is where the lie started. Funny how they were calling us Nazis and nitpickers back in 2014, before we even had the armor in hand.
  7. here It's definitely not black. I'm not even sure I see it. This is where Fin walks in to rescue Poe.,
  8. Please contact ImperialGaskets@gmail.com to let her know. Otherwise you will drop off when we get to you on the list.
  9. I just finished pulling out a very large order. I will be going through my list much quicker now. Remember, I can produce rubber faster than the Mrs. can sew, so my rubber gaskets move quicker than the cloth gaskets.
  10. see original post for updated instructions. You can see here how tough my gaskets are: https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=!AGxnrTEk_xoA26M&cid=8856A29D22617556&id=8856a29d22617556!76111&parId=8856a29d22617556!578&o=OneUp
  11. Suit up in no time. All by yourself. One inch square HIPS from my scrap bin. I cut a 3/4" inch hole and glued together. This is the socket for the magnet plug. I used a dremel to make my socket round. Dremelled 1/4" holes in the shins. Super Magnets from Home Depot. Pack of 3 for under $4. I used E6000 to stick the magnets and CA glue to attach the socket to the armor.
  12. Mitcheg1 did some lenses. You might hit him up.
  13. Would that be the one at my shop? I'm a fan of that bucket. I think I will sand down the bill a little, but as it stands now it's fantastic. I'm still not a fan of resin when it comes to trooping. I hope we see a vac formed kit that can stand up to legion events, battle fatigue, but most of all kids' birthday parties. Mitcheg, you know where I'm going with this;)
  14. see here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35470-fotk-vinyl-pauldron/#entry465126
  15. Dude makes a nice bucket and you did an excellent job on it.
  16. So you don't believe this photo either? I think it's no more than media filler to stick in between the adds. I suspected Disney props as soon as this photo hit the internet.
  17. And what I find odd in that picture is that none of the fore arms are left split open at the wrist. Are we certain that this was a movie production shot and not a disney stage production shot?
  18. This may have been posted already, but I'm not finding this long notch detail in the movie. Has anyone else?
  19. I like CA glue for any cuts I might get trimming armor.
  20. Thanks for sharing. Looking foreword to updates!
  21. That's not recasting. The term recasting is a misnomer. It does not refer to 'casting" at all, but is a term used in education. For instance, when someone calls it the "lie-berry", proper recasting would be to say "you mean 'library, don't you?", instead of repeating the miss-pronounced word. I consider 'recasting" here in the same manner. To copy or do the same thing as someone else. For instance; If a member comes up with latex hand guards, it would be recasting for a different member to do the same, even if they were to produce their own bucks from scratch, in essence, stealing someone's idea. As much as I work with latex myself, I would not produce the same thing as another member and I would consider it recasting, or stealing, if I did.
