Finally back here to say congrats to Chris!

I have not built an Anovos but while I do love the armor my WTF looks bright white in comparison to a more "cream" color with Anovos/Denuo Novo even with their brand new kits. It just depends on the ABS supplier and even those vary batch to batch. The difference is subtle but every WTF kit I see is a super shiny bright white which I love

Interesting that Anovos has longer "inner" shin sides. My Walt kit appears to bias longer outside shins. I don't think it matters unless someone else has some insight

I had a different kit but the shins didn't line up at all. What's important is that the tops line up and then use a dremel to follow the shape at the bottom and shave one side down until it meets up with the other side

I used a replacement strip of green lens from Trooper Bay: https://trooperbay.com/product/dark-green-040-thick-transparent-tinted-vinyl-2-5-x-15-5-inches-lens-material-star-trooper-wars-stormtrooper-sandtrooper-armor/ I chose the 0.040 thickness ans the 0.020 is a bit too thin for me and you can potentially see eyes and any thicker is hard to work with and see out of

"Measure twice, then measure again, and cut once" as they say with this hobby. Better safe than sorry. Looks like you're getting the hang of it. Just make sure to give a solid 2 days of drying for E6000 and you'll be good to go

I had the exact same issue going for EIB. Here's my before and after: There were two things I did to fix it. First I tried just bending out the metal so that the donut faces outward instead of upward. You very well might be able to get away with just doing this. However for me it made the TD stick out from my belt too far so in the end I removed and cut off around an inch of metal down to the second screw hole. Turns out my metal clip were longer than I needed. I had to re drill a new hole since once was cut off on each piece

Sounds like my first time. But honestly yours is looking great. When you said that you cut out the teeth too much, do you mean too wide or from the back? They look ok to me unless you wanted some "depth" of plastic recessing. Even then it's only something you'll notice. If you ever see me in my armor I can point out a dozen places where I "messed up" and only I would notice. I think yours is well on track looking like a great Luke/Han Hero helmet. I'm also stunned how you were able to recover those tube stripes. Which template did you use? I used one from Trooperbay and it came out great. I let the paint dry for about a day first before removing. I'm currently helping some friends build their and it is SO much easier now. Your first time will feel very frustrating but you're pulling it off. Next armor you do is going to feel like a breeze. Keep it up

How loud are they? Any feedback issues?

I've tried TrooperTalk, TRamp, and just now got my icomm. Icomm is by far my favorite. The static bursts are perfect and it gives the most "static" change in my voice without being too much. You're making me want to build another helmet. Those ears look nice and snug and I'm glad you got past that part. It's the hardest part of assembly for sure

Yeah best advice here is have some people show you how to work with armor. Think of it like when you ask a computer geek how to build a computer. They usually are extremely excited to help and many of us with costumes are the same way

Welcome! The first step is to find out which Garrison you live closest to. Your local garrison is region based. Each costume is part of a Detachment (such as the FISD here) and both are amazing resources. Your local Garrison will help you with joining the 501st and this Detachment has a wealth of resources throughout the forums. Of course people close to you I'm sure also have experience. Stormtroopers are about as iconic as you can get so there's lots of knowledgeable people able to help
