I wanted to use the magnet method I saw somewhere here but was told it couldn't be approved even for basic with magnets.
I'm about t to glue my shin Velcro too so I'll be interested in responses the your question.
I bought a little plastic jewel at Micheals but would love to have something more. It fits down in the barrel hole and looks better in person than this picture. I'll be watching this thread.
I'm not going to sweat the knobs right now.
If guys can get approved with packs that look like Ghostbuster packs, then hopefully this will be ok. If not they are easy enough to change.
Darn, I glued them before I waited for an answer. Oh well.
First made a box with the photo box Modgepodge method but wasn't excited about cardboard so I ended up getting a couple of those clear picture "cube" type of frames and gluing then together.
Making good progress on the backpack.
I'm pretty happy with the way the vent turned out. I used some Plastruct channel and an thin textured ABS sheet with some small pieces of scraps from the armor (for the spacers).
I have that one from eBay. It's over 100 pieces, requires about a million hours of sanding and is a ton of work. I haven't bothered to finish it. I wish I hadn't spent the money and time on it.
Tape around the area to be drilled with duct tape to protect the surface. It may help.
Also, start with a smaller drill bit then move to the bigger size you need. It's easier to drill and align with a smaller bit
Wow! $50. Considering I already have the same stool, but with an MG logo, and would rather buy armor accessories, I'm going to pass.
Amazon is pretty amazing. I've been buying from them for 20 years.
Will the top of this cup work or do I need to change it to be more like the funnel top?
(this one looks more like the TD packs and I'm wondering if it would be acceptable for a HWT pack)
So I received the PopIt containers from Amazon as others have used. Now I need to figure out which sizes to put where.
Please advise; option 1 (with the smaller sizes at the top) or 2 (with the bigger sizes):
Option 1:
Option 2:
I'm not sure whether or not to keep spending time assembling mine; I just ordered an E-11 and DLT-19 from Hyperfirm for $400 and I know how great these are for trooping.
I like the idea of the project boxes from Radio Shack but the cost adds up pretty quick.
This one is a pretty good fit for the radio size but it's $20!

I looked at Michael's but I'll have to go back and look again
Anybody know the sizes of the boxes?
I saw one build using the project boxes like this but I can't find which sizes to order.
