  1. Yes! Or do you just spraypaint over it to seal it.
  2. Have you sealed the edges where you had to cut the pieces? Or did you just cut and sand?
  3. Also please note that the preorder of the ANOVOS ensemble is listed as "premier", so expect to be charged premium for that.
  4. Sounds like you are taking this as a personal insult. Which i am sure it is not! I think i just have to get over the fact that many people don't share my unconditional liking of the armors (i am no fan of the prequels itself, but liked TFA quite a bit).
  5. It is indeed kind of saddening to read this much negativity towards an unreleased movie for our favourite franchise. In my opinion, it is their movie and their franchise and if they decide the armor looks that way, than that is a 100% fact and we have to accept that. There is no point in discussing the accuracy of this armor. It is on screen, therefore it is accurate. It can, by definition, not be inaccurate. I might get some angry replies but that is the way i see it. Why should they consult the 501st? They define the standards, not us. All being said, i kinda love all the armors, from the Prequels to TFA, so thats that.
  6. Hm, seems lika a "Batman V Superman" kind of situation here. However, strapping seems legit.
  7. Oh ok, just realized that only TKs with vests have the backpack. Of course. While i love the style, i have come to realize that i lack the skills to hack the vest together. Might be because i am new to all of this. I even managed to kinda mess up my gaskets a little bit, even though that should be easy to build, right?... oh well... Anyway, I'd rather resort to buying finished stuff now to save myself and others from the embarrassment.
  8. Awesome!!! Can't wait. How do you plan to attach it to the TK back though?
  9. Nice work! Thanks for the thread, this will help other people getting their builds started fast.
  10. Awesome! Interested as well
  11. So my Boots and Gloves came today and i have to say i am disappointed. The website clearly says 30 days delivery time, yet i only had 13 to wait ;-) Jokes aside, the quality is top notch and i am super satisfied. Also thanks to IB for the 10% discount i got for the 501st order
  12. I have seen those being offered somewhere else. I have told the maker that there has been interest voiced here, so maybe he'll chime in here the next days.
  13. You still thinking about doing the video?
  14. It's a great looking helmet that is also very expensive.
  15. Just a heads up for EU TK's: The Stanley 50 gal is currently on Sale on Amazon (~40% off) ---------
  16. Oh yes Since it is the 501st Order, i expect it to come with a life size TIE fighter, naturally
  17. Looking Forward to your Video By the way, this question might have been missed, so if anyone can chime in, i'd appreciate it: * The leg gaskets are curved. Which side goes up? I am guessing the curve should point upwards, right?
  18. Ordered on Feb 19, Order is still processing. Is that normal?
  19. IN 12406 requesting member Status http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=20885
  20. Thanks! Also, do you keep the full arm length intact, or cut it into two so ellbows and shoulders are separated?
  21. So i got my set of the updated gaskets today. I have to say, i am impressed! However i have some questions (some might be dumb, as usual, coming from me ): * As i do not have Jim's armor yet, would it be wise to hold off on cutting these until i get the armor? Just to see if i can get it to fit correctly? * Do you cut off the exact same amount of rubber from the left and right side? The image seems to suggest to cut asymmetrical. * I am afraid to cut too much, or too less and than ending up with a too tight gasket or too few scraps left to glue it together. Any recommendation to find the correct amount? * The leg gaskets are curved. Which side goes up? I am guessing the curve should point upwards, right? Thanks.
