Hmm, that’s very strange. The image is not showing up with Safari on the iPhone. I will try to update my phone and see if that fixes it.

They are on a blank white background, but I can easily put them on a transparent background if that’s required? But it will have to be a .PNG or .TIFF file format for that.

What happened to the Rogue One E-11 image I was asked to work on and contribute to the CRL? I see the requirements I wrote up are still there but what happened to the picture? Here’s a link; https://imgur.com/WvQ0NQ4

Well it looks like the Rogue One E-11 was also used in The Mandalorian show in addition to the SOLO movie. M-300 Flashlight accessory is missing here. IG-11 holding his E-11 complete with Flashlight. Another Stormtrooper, this screenshot is mirrored as the original footage was flipped horizontally, as seen below. One of the 501st troopers who was invited to help out on set is briefly seen onscreen holding one of those plastic toy/costume accessory stormtrooper blasters from Rubies. As you can see he is wearing ANH Stunt armor, as opposed to the new Disney era Stormtrooper armor from Rogue One & SOLO that is typically seen in The Mandalorian. He is also holding the Rubies stormtrooper blaster, as opposed to the Rogue One E-11 prop that is typically seen in The Mandalorian. Rubies Stormtrooper Blaster painted black. These are actually allowed for basic approval with some modifications, and the E-11 in the Rebels cartoon is based on this toy. So Disney had actually used this blaster design on screen already albeit in animated form.

Yesterday I discovered a good source for Rogue One T-Track. Tubeway Sales LTD. is a wholesaler and you can only buy large quantities directly from them. I found a distributor offering smaller amounts specifically pre-cut into six 8” pieces for a Rogue One E-11 Blaster Build; https://www.3d-props.com/shop/hardware/

Just as I said in the photo caption. It is just a Shepperton Design Studios E-11. Not at all accurate to the original ANH E-11 as it claims to be, it’s actually a pretty terrible blaster accuracy wise. It’s incorrect in so many ways which is fairly common knowledge on this forum. The SDS E-11 is not metal, it is a plastic blaster infused with a dense foam filler. If you read My post the T-Track for these was sourced from the same company that the Prop Department sourced for Rogue One; Tubeway Sales LTD. which is why the T-Track is the same. Prop Makers in Rogue One did recast or remodel their power cylinders based of the SDS blasters as well. Which were highly inaccurate to ANH but are now used on screen in Rogue One & SOLO.

The Counter is mounted to the scope rail using a bracket located beneath the scope between the feet. You can see this blaster is missing the counter as well as the mounting bracket between the scope feet. I should elaborate more on this in my Rogue One E-11 Blaster Reference thread. SlyFox's R1 Airsoft Conversion w/ Real Parts
SlyFox740 replied to SlyFox740's topic in R1 BlasTech E11
Today I believe I actually discovered the source of the T-Track that prop makers used in Rogue One. It’s mass produced from a U.K. based company and it appears to be the exact same T-Track that Andrew Ainsworth cast into his plastic/foam Shepperton Design Studios E-11 as I pointed out in my ROGUE ONE E-11 BLASTER REFERENCE You can now purchase this T-Track by contacting Shear Tech on his Facebook Page, he specializes in blasters and can source the correct T-Track from Rogue One. -
Well as coincidence would have it; Today I believe I actually discovered the source of the T-Track that prop makers used in Rogue One. SlyFox's R1 Airsoft Conversion w/ Real Parts
SlyFox740 replied to SlyFox740's topic in R1 BlasTech E11
I am probably going to have to make my own custom rail from steel, I also plan on using the “Z Bend” type rail as that’s what was on the Hero prop that Jyn Erso uses, but I may also make the more common “block and screw” type scope rail. -
I added a new reference image to the main post, this photo is from a magazine I bought a while back called 'Rogue One - The Official Mission Debrief'

Where, What and Whom To Avoid When Buying
SlyFox740 replied to RogueTrooper's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Looks like Stormtrooper Shop has changed its name to “Stormtrooper Store”. Still the same only company affiliated with Jedi Robe. http://www.stormtrooperstore.com -
Awesome job, Good attention to detail but if you look closely at those pictures you posted from my reference thread you’ll see the Rogue One Counter actually has the small (mini) eagle logo, it’s close but that one you’ve used is the medium size eagle logo. If you could correct this then it would be an absolutely perfect replica!
-
It looks like the Rogue One E-11 will also appear in the upcoming ‘SOLO’ movie. This is no big surprise as they have hired the exact same prop master again ‘Jamie Wilkinson’ to work on this film. Same costume designer too, this is the exact same Stormtrooper armor from Rogue One and I’ve already seen multiple references with the TK Crystal Patrol Duty pack that we replicated last year.

Sorry you are mistaken, The correct screen used Stock for the E-11D is actually the VF9-STK-416E-BK01 from VFC(Vega Force Company) it has already been identified and confirmed long ago on ‘Parts of Star Wars’ The AABB is somewhat close but there are small differences in the details. The VFC is in the one used on screen and in fact it’s the only one that is accurate. Also I actually helped my friend Chris(Field Marshal) at War Machine develop a Stock Adapter to mount one of these onto the Sterling Airsoft Gun. It’s available now; ----------- Also lastly the Shoulder Buttstock was only flipped upside down for one single reference image and I believe it was a continuity error, a mistake because the rest of them are never seen like that. If you squeeze the adjustment lever and tab hard enough the entire buttstock and support rods can be slid completely out of the back of the stock, I believe this was removed at one point and simply reinstalled upside down by accident. Again there is only one reference image like this, and also there’s one action figure accessory like this now as a result of that reference image. I do believe it was unintentional though.

If this is going to be a functional airsoft gun, you should really try to keep an eye out for a real vintage functional Scope that you can actually use instead of the resin DoopyDoos, even though that's actually what was used on screen. I'm doing the same build myself and I was able to find a real scope, the correct variant accurate to Rogue One. I also found the same counter used on screen too. I found a scope that still appears to be available here and it actually has the correct wide front foot accurate to Rogue One; https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42762-m40-tank-sight-e-11-sight/

SlyFox's R1 Airsoft Conversion w/ Real Parts
SlyFox740 replied to SlyFox740's topic in R1 BlasTech E11
If you read the ROGUE ONE E-11 BLASTER REFERENCE thread you'll see that the screen used flashlight is actually an airsoft replica of a 'SureFire' tactical flashlight. It's called an Element M300A Mini Scout Light. The difference is the real thing is worth around $300 while the airsoft knockoff costs around $50 or so. One thing to be sure about is that you buy one with the correct button guard variant. It should look like the one in this photo, the other kind with scalloped cut-outs is incorrect and not screen accurate. -
SlyFox's R1 Airsoft Conversion w/ Real Parts
SlyFox740 replied to SlyFox740's topic in R1 BlasTech E11
I Found this T-Track from 'Super6Props', If you look at the screen used T-track in the ROGUE ONE E-11 BLASTER REFERENCE thread you'll notice it has a very similar profile if not exactly the same. ---------- UPDATE: Unfortunately this specific soft Rubber T-Track with the correct Rogue One profile is no longer available from Super6Props. However I have since found hard plastic T-Track that is much more accurate, very possibly even the exact same product used on the original prop; READ MORE HERE I found a source for the Tubeway Sales LTD. T-Track used on screen in Rogue One, Tubeway Sales is a wholesaler and their products can only be purchased in large quantities unless you go through a distributor. I found a distributor source that actually offers a Rogue One E-11 T-Track Kit for blaster builds already pre-cut into six 8” pieces; https://www.3d-props.com/shop/hardware/ -
The screen used vertical black lines in the Tears and Traps are very clearly recessed. So as long as the bottom of those recesses are black in color I don't see why fabric wouldn't be allowed, at least for basic approval if not higher.
-
I don’t see why fabric or something thin like blue painters tape(which we believe may have been used on screen) couldn’t be used? At least for basic approval until we can find more information. I agree that fabric would work great for fans and it would be really nice to utilize the tube stripes for what they were initially intended to look like; vents. And blue painters tape would work great for sound system speakers. Actually I’m wondering if the same thing can’t be done for the Tears and Traps with black fabric, allowing actual vents in the dome and face. Imagine heat and condensation actually escaping a stormtrooper bucket, that’s now a potential possibility with the new Rogue One design. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

HWT CRL Changes - Your input is requested
SlyFox740 replied to Daetrin's topic in Heavy Weapons Trooper
So are we keeping the HWT here on FISD or is it going over to MEPD with the rest of the deployed troopers with extra gear and/or weathering? And if we're keeping it, does that mean we're getting the new HWT from Battlefront? -
I see your point and I agree with you. Lucasfilm has never differentiated between Stormtroopers, Sandtroopers, Snowtroopers, or Scout Troopers. That was something the Legion initiated. I don’t disagree with MEPD getting the deployed troopers with extra gear and additional weathering to look “dirty”. That all makes sense. Though I was over at MEPD and the question was posed "Why can't both detachments have the pack" and to be honest that's a very valid question. The visual guide even says this "field specific kit can expand a standard stormtrooper's versatility." However I do still feel that the first Stormtrooper in the movie wearing the pack while using the ‘TK’ designation ON SCREEN is a pretty big issue that we need to address. Allowing the pack as an Optional Accessory with the new R1 TK CRL might be the simple solution to this issue.
-
Agreed! Also there is plenty of other official media from Lucasfilm/Disney supporting the fact that these packs are issued to standard stormtroopers. The new book titled "STAR WARS STORMTROOPERS BEYOND THE ARMOR" classifies them as Stormtroopers, even the ones on Jedha. This is also an official Disney/Lucasfilm licensed publication just like the visual guide. It's fairly accurate and quite informative, it describes all the different types of troopers and armor not to mention the book goes into great detail about the origins of the 501st and it's history, the First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment, and even mentions this forum and the thread in which we reverse engineered this pack. I think we need to recognize that even this book got it right and I strongly feel we should be accurate with our costume designations too as this is obviously what's being presented to the public and it's consistent with all official media coming from Disney/Lucasfilm. This image from the book actually says "Costume Reference Photo of the Crystal Patrol Duty Pack worn by Stormtroopers" I feel like this says it all right here! And here is another image from the same book. Here is a TOPPS Star Wars Rogue One Stormtrooper Trading Card. This is Official Disney/Lucasfilm licensed product. The Hot Toys STORMTROOPER figure set includes Crystal Patrol Duty Pack. Another Lucasfilm licensed product. The Hot Toys STORMTROOPER figure set is called “TK-14057” we all know the 'TK' prefix is a standard Stormtrooper designation.
