  1. Looking good. Just hang in there for your official review. I do not think the separation between your shins and thigh armor is a problem. However, I am not the expert. Good Luck.
  2. Ok. Thanks for checking. Guess it is back to the drawing board. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

  8. No price range. What is cost? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  9. I am looking to either make or buy Macrobinoculars. Does anyone know where I could buy a kit, see a build thread, or purchase? I searched the forums for a while and could not locate anything. Thanks
  10. As long as you use boxes that have straight edges and are similar in size, you will be ok. Just keep posting as you go along and everyone will pitch in.
  11. Armor is looking good. One observation or question, or you able to walk well in the armor. I noticed your COD plate is covering the upper portion of your thigh armor. Does this rub when you walk? Also, it seem you have the opposite issue on the butt plate where it is tucking under your rear thigh armor. You may want to adjust this as it could be uncomfortable. Could be a simple issue that your lower body armor is sitting too low. A simple solution would be to add a suspension system (like suspenders) to hold the lower portion higher. I have these in my armor. It is 2 inch wide black elastic with velcro on the ends that I use as suspenders. Not sure if this will be an issue with your application, I will leave that up to the experts. Looking good.
  12. Looking good so far. Can't wait to see the other photos.
  13. I got it from Trooperbay. But I do not think the are making any more, for now. I just ordered an orange one from the following. She was recommended by the 501st. Kathy Pillsbury ‏(katarra8‏) http://www.Katarra8.com [email protected]
  14. I have a major issue. I am building a scouttrooper for my 7 year old son. I had already put 2 coats of white gloss on the helmet, when about 24 hours later I went to put on the final coat everything bubbled up and half of it peeled off. Now the remainder is on really good. Other than sanding, anyone else have any good ideas?
  15. Very nicely done. Good luck with your application.
  16. Andy, Your armor looks very nice and you did a great job on it. If I may offer 2 comments that will assist you in your approval: 1. The 6 split rivets on the left side of your armor, connecting the ab to kidney plate, need to be painted white, per the CRL. 2. The drop boxes on your ammo belt need to be aligned with the outer most edge of your belt. (i.e., the left side of the drop box is aligned with the left outer most edge of the ABS portion of the belt and vice versa for the right side. See example photo below. I am sure that the "Official Reviewers" will be with you shortly. Good luck and again your armor looks great (alot better than mine when I first submitted).
  17. Very nice. Good luck on your application.
  18. As many do, I use a 2 piece under armour suit. Bought it at Dicks Sporting Goods.
  19. David, Looks really good. My next build is going to be a Walt's Trooper Factory Shadow Trooper. In regards to your EIB application, if I may offer 1 comments. Your shims between your ab plate and kidney plate may need to be fixed a little bit. There is a separation between the shim and kidney plate that should not be there. I know, because I just had to modify mine in order to become EIB. I would recommend using an ABS plate to connect the side shim and the kidney plate from the inside and then glue it so it is flush from the outside. I see that you might have it attached to fabric or velcro, I cannot tell. Again, this is only an observation. If you need for me to clarify more, let me know. I sometimes am not very clear when typing. Keep up the great work and good luck on your application.
  20. Working on HWT EIB application. Building Scouttrooper armor for my 7 year old son.
