Can't wait for the pics. Just placed an AP order couple of weeks ago.

Ordered a pair at the end of Oct. They arrived about a week ago. Ordered a size larger and they fit perfect. Feel comfortable as well. Dealt both with François and Vincent both were fantastic to deal with.

I like the passport carrier mod. It's a great idea.

I would follow what Tim said. FISD specializes in storm troopers. Over at www.bikerscout.net they may have more knowledge and information about the different scout variants.

The Anovos edit is killing me love it. I like the look, I may pick up a set of it after I finish the AP 2.0 I ordered.

I'm a little sad that I gave up my pre-order. Although to be fair I didn't get it at the 350 rate. The cost I ordered at when exchange rate factored in brought the price near the cost of getting an AP.

Disney isn't as strict on copyright violators as you would think. Through work I have had to deal with copyright issues/counterfeit products and just from my limited experience Disney doesn't seem to care, as the counterfeit stuff is in a way "free" advertising. Although that attitude was for relatively inexpensive items, whether they will take that same stance with more expensive stuff who knows. As I said, that's just my observation from my experience, and I could be greatly mistaken on this.

Add another +1 to Hyperfirm. Got mine a couple of weeks ago. Haven't trooped yet, but it's something I wouldn't worry about handing it out for others to hold.

Yeah, I don't think I'm even going to deal with the strapping system they have. I like snaps......My problem is my hands are starting to get itchy and I just want to start building as I pretty much having all the supplies sitting and waiting in my work area.....

True......I'm also not relying on the strapping and soft parts. I didn't get on the 350 pricing, but he 500 which in the end isn't so bad. I know I've spent more on E11, boots, audio and fans for the bucket and other odds and ends.<br><br> Lucky enough I got the pre-order in before the CDN dollar vs USD tanked.

I'm just curious to see how this set turns out. I ordered it a long while back, not really in the first batch of pre-orders. I've actually been considering bailing on my Anovos pre-order and putting in an order for AP. I'm just concerned of it ending up being like a Rubies situation as I already made that mistake (a week before finding out about FISD....) Any opinions?

I thought you could order extra ABS sheets off trooperbay and/or the other TK manufactures. Being on the inside the colour match shouldn't matter as much?

Hey there Shay, The short answer is armor does not come cheap. From my very limited experience you won't find anything worthwhile under 1000$ (approx.). I can assume that pretty much everyone on here will tell you to avoid the ebay stuff at all cost. How is your ability to read English? There is a lot of information on this site for the various types of armor out there. I would check the Anovos website again. The 1600$ USD amount is for the "complete ensemble" which means it's fully put together. If you select, "Kit with completed helmet" It should drop the price down to 650$ USD, but that doesn't seem to be much help as you can't get it shipped there. It looks like they may update where they will ship in the future, so it may be a wait and see.

I had looked at a couple different build threads, in some they made ABS "snap" plates, while others looked like the nylon was just attached straight onto the armor. Is there any real benefit to putting the snaps on ABS snap plates? It just looks to me (in my inexperience anyway) that it would make it that much harder to fix or alter for changing body sizes. For the superglue is there any to avoid, stuff that could melt ABS? Wait what your sending me nylon?? Haha, I think that's going to Curanthir. Thanks!

Joseph With that strapping system, are the snaps that are up against the armor on an ABS plate, or is the nylon just glued directly to armor?
