  1. I replaced it with pieces of the white elastic belt that came with my AP armour. Perfect size!
  2. I vote for AP too! It's a beautiful bucket. Easy to assemble, too, much easier than the FX. The strapping and holster you get with the regular FX kit isn't that good anyway, the holster is too sturdy for my taste, so you hardly get your blaster into it. The strapping is all velcro, while you want snaps most places.
  3. It looks like you are missing handplates and knee ammo.
  4. Most kits doesn't require painting, but TE2 does.
  5. But they still have some sizes in stock.
  6. You can always cut out the U shape and sew an elastic band there. I swapped my black elastic band for a white one on my shoes, and it's totally doable to do it from scratch as well. Only thing different is that you need to cut the U shape and make holes for the seams as leather can be hard to work on with needles only. ---------
  7. Oh, and caboots are cheaper.
  8. For ANH and ESB you need black soles, and the rules say no decorative stitching. In addition to that, I think they look a bit short, so you might have a problem with your shins popping inside the boots when you bend your knee. I had that problem with my boots, and have now swapped to caboots because of that. It's really painful, and very annoying for the other troopers/support that have to help you tuck your boots every time they pop.
  9. Hehe, that would be nice. Nice split you got there, btw.
  10. Btw, the people commenting on our photo shoot yesterday was actually people consider buying the house next door. Hope we didn't scare them.
  11. With all that snow AND a white house, we needed a more contrasting background, hehe. Easyer to photoshop later. And guess who took the pictures?
  12. I think so too, and they doesn't seem to be as glossy as the grey ones either. I think it's a different paint than the Humbrol #15. Tighten the belt and move the butt split, and make sure the split in front doesn't show.
  13. I have got my patch, thank you so much!
  14. I would just leave them as they are, noone will notice.
  15. I think it depends on what you do in your daily life. Make sure it's different from that! If you often eat at restaurants, cook for her, if you often cook for her take her out etc. If she has any passions, you could always use them to make her day. But remember, it's your day too, and she should give you a nice day too. Make sure you find something that you both will enjoy. And remember chocolate. Always chocolate! We girls love that!
  16. Email sent!
  17. I would rather assemble 5 AP's than have to paint stuff. I had a really bad fall on asphalt in my AP, and only ended up with a tiny scratch on a handplate and a tiny crack in my knee plate. I landed with thighs, butt, underarm, bicep and shoulder bell smashed to the ground, and had no scratches at all on those pieces! That's what I call sturdy! The question is, do you like painting or dremeling best?
  18. Congratulations! Nice work!
  19. My Fett boots are at least one size smaller than labelled.
  20. Psst, this is an old thread. But thanks for the kind words.
  21. Unfortunately, they don't sell that in model/hobby shops over here. We've checked every shop we've seen the last 5 months.
  22. If you can't match the colour, your ab-plate will not match the rest of your armour either. I guess I would go for an mismatched button box rather than a mismatched ab-plate. Before you know it, you'll have to paint the entire armour! Is it possible to just buy a new button box or get rid of all the red bondo? Anyway, good luck to you!
  23. Congrats on your elite status! Nice, I'll try that too.
  24. Congrats on your elite status!
