  1. I know what you mean! Being a girl I had the same problem, my hips aren't built for trooping! It hurts, but it's worth it. I had that problem with my shoulders, and I just mounted them a bit closer to my chest, with a shorter strap so that they just couldn't move that far. Looks much better now. You should have seen me one event, the guys thought my shoulder had popped off completely. I guess this wont affect your elite status anyway.
  2. Looking good! To look even better, place the shoulder bells closer to your chest plate, to cover the undersuit a bit more there, and raise you thighs a bit. Will make walking more comfy, too. Just my opinion, though. Good luck!
  3. School before fun, always! If you really need it for school, buy the laptop. I would guess your studies will be a lot more fun with a good computer? Good luck! Hope to see you in armour soon!
  4. Awww, I want to start on a second AP armour, just to make everything perfect the first time. I guess I will go TD with this some time, so maybe in the future.
  5. Thanks! I had that earlier, but when I lowered my chest to be able to nod and turn my head around with my helmet on, the back wouldn't stay in place. So if I raise it, my helmet will be lying on top of my chest plate, making me unable to turn my head around.
  6. The screws on the helmet are actually just put in the wrong place, the white ones are under the ear cap, haha. I'll swap them now.
  7. Hey! No mocking of falling troopers! I fell so bad I actually popped off my shoulder, it's a miracle my blaster didn't shatter into a thousand pieces.
  8. Right sidegap closed, no shimming required! Left sidegap closed, close-up of holster attachment and white band on drop-boxes: AHN buttons, painted with Humbrol #5 and #15: T-tracks: D-ring
  9. Here's my application for ANH elite status! TK-8224: Green lenses: Neckseal: Hovi's Holster on left side, buttplate cut: Correct shoes:
  10. Yeah, get some taller ones! Mine are a pain, they pop over the shins. I need to work something out to make them stay in place. I would buy caboots if I were you. Dying and modding is a pain, and they'll never look as good. You will have to replace the elastic band too, it's hard to dye it properly. I had to hand sew white elastic to mine.
  11. A stormtrooper will always look better with real stormtrooper armour. But if that's not what she wants, I can't help.
  12. There's plenty of room for boobs inside regular stormtrooper armour!
  13. Though we're not married yet. Wonder what a 501st approved bride would look like?
  14. I just have to cut my butt! There's a troop tomorrow, I'll get started after that.
  15. TK-8224 requesting 501st access! http://www.501stlegion.org/members/display...hp?userID=10150
  16. And yes, my belt is canvas, made it myself. -------
  17. As for the velcro on the shoulder bells, it didn't work that well for me. I'll replace it with snaps.
  18. Thanks! I will cut the butt, that is the only thing I am missing for elite. As for the shoulders, I'll have mod the elastic there to make them fit better. It's all on my to-do list!
  19. I finished my AP friday, and did my first troop in my own armour the same day. It felt so great to finally put it on! Here's some pics:
