  1. Looks like your off to a good start. Hard to see the details on my phones small pics. I'll have another look when I get home from the xmas visits. The eyes look great if you really cut them out quite a bit. Look at the pics I sent you or log into Starwarshelmets Com and check out Jez's pics he took for my latest review. They are spot on. You can also reinforce the mic tips at the back with a bit of cloth soaked in super glue.
  2. Petrol will take it off. Or WD40 and a lot of rubbing. If you use petrol do it outside as the fumes aren't great.
  3. it comes in 3 grades. It's specificall for plastic.
  4. Vern, you must have heard of Novus polish? It's a TK standard.
  5. Get yourself some micro mesh. It comes in 2400, 4000, 8000 & 12000 grit. It's also a cloth so it will wrap round the tube nicely. Works a treat. Then finish with novus. Otherwise your going to get swirly sanding marks all over it only going down to 600. Of course this is only what I'd do. You can get it on Amazon although I'm sure you can find it many places over there. I have seen drill attachments which will take the arm ache out of it. Good luck.
  6. Thats a first! Looks good........ Nothing I have ever thought about before... If it works for you then that's good enough for me....
  7. test bits are always the most obvious things that are overlooked........makes sense really....... good luck...:thumbsup
  8. Cut and score means you run a craft/Stanley blade down the plastic leaving a cut/score line. Then you bend the plastic back along the line and it will snap off. I'm not sure what burning tight is? I just sand the cut smooth with a fine paper. ROTJ were weathered if you are going for an Endor trooper, quite heavily weathered in some cases and some had flat stunt lenses in too.
  9. I think you'll find there more than 4 ROTJ troopers out there. I've definitely sold more than 4 They must be closset ROTJ TKs. They will come out eventually.
  10. Oooohhhh.......... Watching!
  11. Oh, and sorry to spoil the party. Mark....
  12. If it's just marks you might find novus Polish will do the job on its own.
  13. I use 3M sanding pads. They do a fine and super fine. That will take the marks out. Using a circular action. Then I use micro mesh which is a material sand paper and you can start using 2400 then 4000, 8000, and then 12,000 grit with a bit of water. Finish with Novus Polish 1,2 & 3 This is good to polish out scratches too.
  14. Cool process, with attention to accuracy and detail this could be a great cheap fun option. Unfortunately nowhere near 501st acceptable at the mo..... Once you have the pepakura done you can apply body filler to the pieces and really shape them up using lots of photo references.....
  15. Who's to say it was decommissioned in Germany? Is there a deac certificate from Germany with it? I only say that as I've shipped a deac to a guy in Germany before so there must be more from the UK floating around over there. How are they deactivated in Germany? Do they still have all the moving parts over there? I wonder how many different methods there are for deacs?
  16. There's another guy recasting my mic tips.
  17. Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Yeah, I've resided to the fact that unless I turn up on his doorstep and confront him face on nothing's going to change. He's not the only one on eBay that's recasting my stuff.
  18. Well, as far as I'm aware you cannot strip a new spec deactivation Sterling as most of it is welded together. The trigger is welded so won't pull. The bolt is welded so won't pull back, the barrel is welded. A new spec is just a good looking ornament at best. Old spec is strippable, dry fires etc. anything 1985 or ealier is old spec. Anything after 85 is new spec.
  19. That's an old spec by the looks of it so Dennis got hold of an absolute bargain! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Nice tip... Thanks Derrek.....
  21. I had the link down twice......all sorted now..... Thanks Mathias!!!
  22. I have done this but get this?
  23. Hi guys, How do I rename a link in my Signature so it just reads what I want it to rather than the link address? Any help would be great..... Tech is not my strong point.... Ask me about ROTJ troopers and I'm all ears....
